Abstract

The feature film titled “The Role of Producers in the Production of the Feature Program ‘Going Traveling’ Episode: Mentawai Tribe” depicts events from the Mentawai Tribe in West Sumatra. As the producer, the author presents how the Mentawai people continue to uphold their customs and ancestral beliefs. This culture is one of the ancestral heritages rich in philosophy and traditions. As a producer, the author showcases the cultural richness of the Mentawai Tribe to the audience through a strong narrative and authentic visuals. Through indepth research, meticulous planning, and effective team coordination, the author ensures that every aspect of production runs smoothly, delivering cultural messages in an informative, educational, and engaging manner. This work is expected to contribute academically as a reference for media production studies and the role of producers in culture-based feature programs. Furthermore, this report can serve as a valuable resource for the creative industry in producing content that is not only entertaining but also educational, while playing a role in preserving the Mentawai Tribe’s culture and strengthening Indonesia’s image as a nation with diverse and valuable cultural heritage. Film feature yang berjudul “Peran Produser dalam Produksi Program Feature ‘Going Traveling’ Episode: Suku Mentawai” merupakan peristiwa yang diangkat dari Suku Mentawai di Sumatera Barat. Penulis sebagai produser memaparkan bagaimana kehidupan masyarakat Mentawai yang masih mempertahankan adat istiadat serta kehidupan kepercayaan yang mereka anut. Budaya ini merupakan salah satu warisan leluhur yang kaya akan nilai filosofi dan tradisi. Sebagai produser, penulis memaparkan kepada khalayak kekayaan budaya Suku Mentawai melalui narasi yang kuat dan visual yang autentik. Dengan riset mendalam, perencanaan matang, serta koordinasi tim yang efektif, penulis memastikan bahwa setiap aspek produksi berjalan lancar dan mampu menyampaikan pesan budaya secara informatif, edukatif, dan menarik. Karya ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam bidang akademik sebagai referensi dalam studi produksi media dan peran produser dalam program feature berbasis budaya. Di samping itu, laporan ini juga dapat menjadi acuan bagi industri kreatif dalam menghadirkan konten yang tidak hanya menghibur tetapi juga mendidik, sekaligus berperan dalam melestarikan budaya Suku Mentawai dan memperkuat citra Indonesia sebagai negara dengan warisan budaya yang beragam dan bernilai tinggi.
