Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between positive psychological capital and hospitality culture with employee performance. Performance reflects an individual's achievement in meeting work standards, influenced by personal characteristics and the work environment. Positive psychological capital is a positive psychological condition possessed by individuals, including self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience. Meanwhile, hospitality culture is a work culture that emphasises sincere, friendly service and customer appreciation. This study employs a quantitative correlational approach with 129 sales/frontline employees in a retail company as the sample, selected using accidental sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Spearman's correlation test, as well as additional MannWhitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests using SPSS version 22. The Spearman test results showed a significant relationship between positive psychological capital and work performance, as well as between hospitality culture and work performance. The highest correlations among the dimensions were found in self-efficacy and behaviour, as well as personal attributes and behaviour. The Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests also showed significant differences in work performance based on the second category of the independent variables. These results indicate that the higher the positive psychological capital and hospitality culture, the higher the work performance of employees. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara positive psychological capital dan hospitality culture dengan prestasi kerja karyawan. Prestasi kerja mencerminkan pencapaian individu dalam memenuhi standar kerja, dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik pribadi dan lingkungan kerja. Positive psychological capital merupakan kondisi psikologis positif yang dimiliki individu, mencakup efikasi diri, harapan, optimisme, dan resiliensi. Sementara itu, hospitality culture adalah budaya kerja yang menekankan pelayanan yang tulus, ramah, dan menghargai pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan 129 karyawan sales/frontliner di perusahaan ritel sebagai sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Spearman, serta uji tambahan Mann-Whitney U dan Kruskal-Wallis menggunakan SPSS versi 22. Hasil uji Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara positive psychological capital dan prestasi kerja, serta antara hospitality culture dan prestasi kerja. Korelasi tertinggi antar dimensi ditemukan pada efikasi diri dan perilaku, serta atribut personal dan perilaku. Uji MannWhitney dan Kruskal-Wallis juga menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam prestasi kerja berdasarkan kategori tingkat kedua variabel bebas tersebut. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi positive psychological capital dan hospitality culture, maka semakin tinggi pula prestasi kerja karyawan.
