Abstract

Technology sector is one of the fastest-growing sectors and contributes significantly to Indonesia’s economic growth; however, the profitability of companies in this sector has declined in the last 6 years. This research aims to determine the effect of liquidity, solvability, activity and Firm Size on profitability. The research design is causality research. The population in this study includes technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2023 period, with a total of 5 companies selected based on specific criteria. The sampling method employed is purposive sampling, resulting in 5 selected companies. Data analysis in this study was conducted using panel data regression analysis with EViews 12 software. The results show that liquidity has a significant positive effect on profitability, solvency and activity have no significant effect, and Firm Size has a significant negative effect on profitability. This research is expected to serve as a valuable reference for companies and investors in managing and analyzing the financial performance factors in the technology sector. Keywords: Liquidity, Solvency, Activity, Firm Size, Profitability, Technology Sektor teknologi merupakan salah satu sektor yang berkembang pesat dan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia, namun profitabilitas perusahaan-perusahaan dalam sektor ini mengalami penurunan dalam 6 tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh likuiditas, solvabilitas, aktivitas, dan firm size terhadap profitabilitas. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kausalitas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sektor perusahaan teknologi yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2018-2023 yang berjumlah 5 perusahaan sesuai dengan karakteristik yang ditetapkan. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan didapatkan 5 perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi data panel menggunakan software Eviews 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa likuiditas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, sedangkan solvabilitas dan aktivitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi perusahaan dan investor dalam mengelola dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja keuangan sektor teknologi.
