Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of helping company management, investors, and creditors understand the issuer's health level and its partial and simultaneous influence on financial distress in the property and real estate sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2022. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling method, resulting in a total sample of 75 sample data with 25 companies. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. This study was designed as a causal study to explore the causal relationship patterns that emerge from the data. The data sources analyzed were secondary, with the analysis method in this study using multiple regression analysis through IBM SPSS software as the analytical tool. The results of this study indicate that profitability has a positive effect on financial distress, leverage has a negative effect on financial distress, and company size has no effect on financial distress. The implication of this study is that profitability, leverage, and company size influence company management, investors, and creditors in decision-making. Keywords: Profitability, Leverage, Company Size and Financial Distress Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membantu manajemen perusahaan, investor, dan kreditor mengetahui tingkat kesehatan emiten serta pengaruhnya secara parsial dan simultan pengaruh profitabilitas, leverage, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap financial distress pada sektor properti dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2020 – 2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dimana didapatkan total sampel yang digunakan adalah 75 data sampel dengan 25 perusahaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai studi kausal guna menelusuri pola hubungan sebab-akibat yang muncul dari data. Sumber data yang dianalisis bersifat sekunder dengan metode analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda melalui perangkat lunak IBM SPSS sebagai alat analisisnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas berpengaruh positif terhadap financial distress, leverage berpengaruh negetif terhadap financial distress dan ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah profitabilitas, leverage, dan ukuran perusahaan mempengaruhi manajemen perusahaan, investor, dan kreditor dalam pengambilan keputusan.
