Abstract

This research was conducted specifically for Generation Z, whose characteristics include growing up with technology, making them easily influenced by trends on social media. This study specifically examines Gen Z's experiences using the People Near feature. The researchers observed a wide range of experiences using the feature. They began using it out of a desire to meet and interact with new people within their immediate vicinity. Experience is what a person feels and realizes, and plays a significant role in shaping individual decisions. Motives are the basis for a person's actions, arising from specific drives that motivate them. The constructivist paradigm employed a case study research method. The research subjects were informants from Gen Z who used the People Near feature. Data collection utilized primary and secondary data. Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques were used. Source triangulation was used to validate the data. The results of this study demonstrate Gen Z's complex and ambivalent experiences using the People Near feature. On the one hand, it serves as entertainment and a means of social connection, but on the other, it also serves as a means of privacy and convenience. Keywords: People Nearby Feature, Phenomenology, Motives, Experience, Gen Z Penelitian ini dilakukan khusus Generasi Z dengan karakteristiknya yang dimana pertumbuhannya Bersama teknologi membuat Generasi Z mudah terpengaruh oleh trend apa saja yang ada di Media sosial. Penelitian ini meneliti khusus untuk Gen Z dalam pengalamannya menggunakan fitur People Nearby ini. Dari pengamatan peneliti banyak sekali pengalamannya menggunakan fitur tersebut. Mereka memanfaatkan fitur ini berasal keinginan untuk bertemu dan berinteraksi dengan orang baru yang berada dalam jangkauan wilayah terdekat. Pengalaman adalah yang dirasakan dan disadari oleh seseorang memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk keputusan individu. Motif adalah dasar dari alasan-alasan seseorang untuk melakukan suatu tindakan, muncul dari dorongandorongan tertentu yang memotivasi individu tersebut. Paradigma konstruktivisme, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Studi Kasus. Subjek penelitian informan dari Gen Z yang menggunakan fitur People Nearby. Pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pengalaman Gen Z dalam menggunakan fitur People Nearby bersifat komplkes dan ambivalen. di satu sisi sebagai hiburan dan sarana keterhubungan sosial, tetapi privasi dan kenyamanan.
