Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of current ratio, total asset turnover, and firm size on profit growth. The research design is causality research. The population in this research is the issuers of the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2023, totaling 20 companies according to the specified characteristics. sample selection used non-probability sampling with the saturated sample method and obtained 20 companies. . In this research, the data analysis method uses panel data regression analysis which was processed with Eviews 12 software. The analysis was carried out to estimate and analyze the effect of the Current ratio and total asset turnover on profit growth using mediation size as a mediating variable. The results of hypothesis testing on earnings growth show that current ratio and company size have a positive effect on earnings growth, while total asset turnover has a negative effect on earnings growth. The results of hypothesis testing on company size show that current ratio has no effect on company size, while total asset turnover has a negative effect on company size. The results of the analysis using path analysis show that the Current ratio has no effect on profit growth mediated through company size, while Total Asset Turnover affects profit growth mediated through company size. Keywords: current ratio, total asset turnover, firm size, profit growth Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh current ratio, total asset turnover, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kausalitas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pada perusahaan makanan dan minumanyang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2019-2023, yang berjumlah 20 perusahaan sesuai dengan karakteristik yang ditetapkan. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan non-probability sampling dengan metode sampel jenuh dan didapatkan 20 perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi data panel yang diolah dengan software Eviews 12. Analisi tersebut dilakukan untuk mengestimasi dan menganalisis pengaruh current ratio, total asset turnover terhadap pertumbuhan laba yang menggunakan ukuran mediasi sebagai variabel mediasi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis terhadap pertumbuhan laba menunjukan current ratio, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan laba, sedangkan total asset turnover berpengaruh negatif terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Hasil pengujian hipotesis terhadap ukuran perusahaan menunjukan current ratio tidak berpengaruh terhadap ukuran perusahaan, sedangkan total asset turnover berpengaruh negatif terhadap ukuran perusahaan. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan path analysis menunjukan bahwa current ratio tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba dimediasi melalui ukuran perusahaan, sedangkan total asset turnover berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba dimediasi melalui ukuran perusahaan.
