Abstract
Documentary films are non-fiction audio-visual media that present factual events without fictional elements. “Kesenian Angklung Jalanan” is a cultural documentary that portrays angklung street performers in Jakarta as cultural preservers who strive to maintain traditional music in urban spaces. In this production, the writer served as the camera person, responsible for capturing visual elements based on the planned shot list. The use of camera angles, natural lighting, and appropriate framing played an essential role in supporting the visual narrative and conveying the atmosphere of each scene. The documentary aims to build public appreciation for angklung as a living cultural heritage. This experience also helped the writer understand the significance of strong visual composition in communicating messages effectively through documentary storytelling. Keywords: Documentary Film, Angklung, Street Culture, Visual Composition, Camera Person Film dokumenter merupakan media audio-visual non-fiksi yang menyajikan realitas berdasarkan fakta tanpa unsur fiktif. Film dokumenter “Kesenian Angklung Jalanan” mengangkat potret kehidupan pengamen angklung di Jakarta sebagai pelaku pelestari seni tradisional di ruang publik. Dalam proses produksi, penulis bertugas sebagai camera person yang berperan dalam pengambilan gambar sesuai dengan konsep dan shotlist yang telah disusun. Teknik pengambilan gambar seperti sudut kamera, pencahayaan alami, dan komposisi visual digunakan untuk mendukung narasi yang komunikatif dan menarik secara visual. Tujuan film ini adalah membangun apresiasi terhadap kesenian angklung sebagai bagian dari warisan budaya Indonesia. Melalui pengalaman ini, penulis memahami pentingnya peran visual dalam menyampaikan pesan dokumenter secara efektif dan autentik.
