Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of career development, transformational leadership, and compensation benefits on turnover with employee involvement as an intervening variable. This study was conducted at PT. Danny Samudera Raya Line, a company operating in the field of sea transportation services. This research is motivated by the high level of employee turnover which can have a negative impact on company performance and productivity. This research method uses quantitative. The population in this study was all permanent ship crew in PT. Danny Samudera Raya Line. The sampling technique in this research used saturated sampling, with a total sample of 70 people. Research data was collected through distributing questionnaires. The data analysis method uses Structural Equation Model – Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3 application. The results of this study indicate that (a) career development, transformational leadership, and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, (b) career development, transformational leadership, compensation, and employee engagement have a negative and significant effect on turnover intentions, (c) career development, transformational leadership, and compensation have a negative and significant effect on turnover with employee engagement as an intervening variable. Keywords: Career Development, Transformational Leadership, Compensation, Turnover Intention, and Employee Engagement Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengembangan karir, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan kompensasi tunjangan terhadap turnover intention dengan employee engagement sebagai variabel intervening. Studi ini dilakukan di PT. Danny Samudera Raya Line, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa transportasi laut. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya tingkat turnover karyawan yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kinerja dan produktivitas perusahaan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak seluruh ABK tetap PT. Danny Samudera Raya Line. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sampel jenuh, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 70 orang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Metode analisa data menggunakan Structural Equation Model –Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dengan aplikasi SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (a) pengembangan karir, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan kompensasi berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement, (b) pengembangan karir, kepemimpinan transformasional, kompensasi, dan employee engagement berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap turnover intention, (c) pengembangan karir, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan kompensasi berpengaruh secara negatif dan signifikan terhadap turnover intention dengan employee engagement sebagai variabel intervening.
