Abstract
This study aims to analyse the effect of Interpersonal Communication in Partner Search on Trust in a partner through the online dating app Bumble. In the digital era characterised by the rapid development of technology, the intensity of direct interaction in dating activities is decreasing. This study focuses on the role of interpersonal communication in building trust when looking for a partner through online dating apps. Variable X, Interpersonal Communication in the search for a partner, is analysed through aspects of Self-Concept, Ability, Experience, and Emotional. Meanwhile, variable Y, Trust in a partner through the online dating app Bumble, was measured using indicators of Trusting Belief and Trusting Intention. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Positivism paradigm and survey model, using purposive sampling technique. The research population consists of Bumble application users who live in Indonesia, with a sample size of 250 respondents. Data analysis involved validity, reliability, normality, simple linear regression, coefficient of determination, as well as t test and F test. The results showed that there was a significant influence between Interpersonal Communication in the search for a partner on Trust in a partner through the online dating application Bumble, with a contribution of 62.5%. Meanwhile, 37.5% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Keyword : Interpersonal Communication, Trust, Online Dating, Trusting Believe, Trusting Intention Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Komunikasi Interpersonal dalam Pencarian Pasangan terhadap Kepercayaan pada pasangan melalui aplikasi kencan online Bumble. Di era digital yang ditandai dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, intensitas interaksi langsung dalam aktivitas kencan semakin berkurang. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran komunikasi interpersonal dalam membangun kepercayaan saat mencari pasangan melalui aplikasi kencan online. Variabel X, yaitu Komunikasi Interpersonal dalam pencarian pasangan, dianalisis melalui aspek Konsep Diri, Kemampuan, Pengalaman, dan Emosional. Sementara itu, variabel Y, yakni Kepercayaan pada pasangan melalui aplikasi kencan online Bumble, diukur menggunakan indikator Trusting Belief dan Trusting Intention. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan paradigma Positivisme dan model survei, menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari pengguna aplikasi Bumble yang berdomisili di Indonesia, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 250 responden. Analisis data melibatkan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, regresi linier sederhana, koefisien determinasi, serta uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Komunikasi Interpersonal dalam pencarian pasangan terhadap Kepercayaan pada pasangan melalui aplikasi kencan online Bumble, dengan kontribusi sebesar 62,5%. Sementara itu, 37,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Interpersonal, Kepercayaan, Kencan Online, Trusting Believe, Trusting Intention
