Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of job stress, job security, and technology adoption on employee performance at a 5-star Local Hotel in Jakarta and how the role of supervisors moderates the relationship. The background of the study is based on the decline in employee performance as reflected in guest reviews on online travel agent sites and pre-surveys before the study. The type of research is casual with a descriptive method and uses SEM-PLS to analyze the data. The population of this study was employees of a 5-star local hotel in Jakarta, with a sample size of 363 respondents. The data collection technique used non-probability with purposive sampling. The study's results indicate a negative impact of job stress on employee performance, while job security and technology adoption positively impact employee performance. In addition, supervisors have a role in moderating the effect of job stress and technology adoption on employee performance but do not moderate the effect of job security on employee performance. This study reveals the novelty of the role of supervisors as moderators in the effect of job stress and technology adoption on employee performance at a 5-star hotel in Jakarta, which has not been widely studied before. In addition, the findings show variations in the strength of the influence of job stress, job security, and technology adoption on performance, emphasizing the importance of contextual factors in this kind of study. Recommendations for the hotel industry are that organizations can provide counseling, flexible schedules, and relaxation activities to reduce work stress, maintain workplace safety through facilities, training, and safety standards, support technology adoption with training, train supervisors in empathy, and improve performance through regular training, quality standards, and periodic feedback. Keywords: job security, performance, role of supervisor, technology adoption, work stress Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh stres kerja, keamanan kerja, dan adopsi teknologi terhadap kinerja karyawan di Hotel Lokal Bintang 5 di Jakarta, serta bagaimana peran supervisor memoderasi hubungan tersebut. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada adanya penurunan kinerja karyawan yang tercermin dari ulasan tamu di situs online agen perjalanan dan pra-survey sebelum penelitian. Jenis penelitian adalah kasualitas dengan metode deskriptif dan menggunakan SEM-PLS untuk menganalisis data. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah karyawan hotel Bintang 5 lokal di Jakarta, dengan jumlah sampel 363 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan non-probability dengan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya dampak negatif stres kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan, sementara keamanan kerja dan adopsi teknologi memiliki dampak positif terhadap kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, supervisor memiliki peran dalam memoderasi pengaruh stres kerja dan adopsi teknologi terhadap kinerja karyawan, namun tidak memoderasi pengaruh keamanan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini mengungkap kebaruan berupa peran supervisor sebagai moderator dalam pengaruh stres kerja dan adopsi teknologi terhadap kinerja karyawan di hotel Bintang 5 Jakarta, yang belum banyak diteliti sebelumnya. Selain itu, temuan menunjukkan variasi kekuatan pengaruh stres kerja, keamanan kerja, dan adopsi teknologi terhadap kinerja, menekankan pentingnya faktor kontekstual dalam studi semacam ini. Rekomendasi untuk industri hotel adalah organisasi dapat menyediakan konseling, jadwal fleksibel, dan kegiatan relaksasi untuk mengurangi stres kerja, menjaga keselamatan kerja melalui fasilitas, pelatihan, dan standar keamanan, mendukung adopsi teknologi dengan pelatihan, serta melatih supervisor dalam berempati, dan meningkatkan kinerja melalui pelatihan rutin, standar kualitas, dan umpan balik berkala.
