Abstract
Efforts to Increase Family Income (UP2K) is a program that aims to foster the community in improving the family economy. This activity is part of the PKK work program as a form of community empowerment. This research aims to find out and analyze more deeply the communication approach of the PKK driving team in the UP2K program to the community in Rawa Buaya Village, West Jakarta. This research uses basic communication management theory according to Cutlip and Broom (2009). The strategic planning process for the Public Relations program refers to Fact Finding, Planning, Communication and Evaluation. This research uses a Post-Positivism paradigm with a qualitative descriptive method, by interviewing three key informants and three supporting informants. The results of the research show that the Rawa Buaya Village PKK driving team implemented its communication management starting from the fact-finding stage with field observations, the planning stage was designed at the end of each year, communication was carried out using a vertical communication pattern, and evaluations were carried out in weekly, monthly, Pertin activities. and annually. Keyword : Communication Management, Public Relations, Public Communication, Communication Approach, Public Relations program, Community Relations Upaya Peningkatan Pendapatan Keluarga (UP2K) yaitu program yang bertujuan untuk membina masyarakat dalam meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga. Kegiatan ini bagian dari program kerja PKK sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis lebih dalam mengenai bagaimana manajemen public relations dalam program upaya peningkatan pendapatan keluarga (UP2K) oleh tim PKK kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Rawa Buaya, Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan dasar teori manajemen komunikasi program PR menurut Cutlip and Broom (2009). Proses perencanaan strategis program Public Relations mengacu pada Pencarian Fakta (Fact Finding), Perencanaan (Planning), Komunikasi (Communication), dan Evaluasi (Evaluation). Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma Post-Positivisme dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan melakukan wawancara tiga key-informan dan tiga informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tim penggerak PKK Kelurahan Rawa Buaya dalam mengimplementasikan manajamen komunikasinya mulai dari tahap pencarian faktanya dengan observasi ke lapangan, tahap perencanaan dirancang setiap akhir tahunnya, komunikasi yang dilakukan dengan pola komunikasi vertical, dan evaluasi yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan Pertin mingguan, bulanan, dan tahunan.
