Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the current ratio, total assets turnover, sales gross and debt to assets ratio on return on assets. The background to this research is that the Ministry of Industry noted that in the first quarter of 2020, the food and beverage industry sector contributed 36.4% to manufacturing GDP. In the same period, growth in this industrial sector reached 3.9%, while in the graph the average return on assets of the food and beverage industry tends to decline every yearThe population in this study is the Food and Baverage Sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange for the 2016-2020 period, totaling 20 companies according to the characteristics set by the researcher. The sample selection used the saturated sample method and obtained 22 companies. Data analysis in this study used panel data regression. The research results show that the variable current ratio and debt to assets ratio have no effect on return on company assets Key Word: Current Ratio, Total Assets Turn Over, Sales Growth, Debt To Assets Ratio, Return On Assets, industry food and baverage Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh current ratio, toral assets turnover, sales groeth dan debt to assets ratio terhadap return on assets. Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu kemenperin mencatat pada Triwulan I Tahun 2020, sektor industri makanan dan minuman memberikan kontribusi sebesar 36,4% terhadap PDB manufaktur. Pada periode yang sama, pertumbuhsan sektor industri ini mencapai 3,9%, sedangkan pada grafik rata-rata return on assets industri makanan dan minuman cenderung mengalami penurunan pada tiap tahunnya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan Sub Sektor Food and Baverage yang tercatat di bursa efek indonesia periode 2016-2020 yang berjumlah 20 perusahaan sesuai dengan karakteristik yang ditetapkan oleh peneliti. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode sampel jenuh dan didapatkan 20 perusahaan. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regesi data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan variable current ratio dan debt to assets ratio tidak berpengaruh terhadap return on assets perusahaan.
