Abstract

Social media is a good media intermediary in disseminating information because accessing it is very easy and practical, including disseminating information about health, especially mental health. The purpose of this study is to explain how much influence Instagram @satupersenoffical on meeting followers' information needs about mental awareness. Information needs arise when a person's knowledge is less than needed, thus encouraging someone to seek information to meet those information needs The research method used by researchers in this writing is a quantitative method with a survey method that will be carried out to obtain facts about the symptoms of the problems that arise. The results of the simple linear regression test are Y = 76, 302 − 0.139 X + e, the coefficient of determination test obtained R which is 0.133, determination (R Square) is 0.018. Keywords: Instagram Social Media , Information Needs, Mental Awareness Sosial media menjadi perantara media yang baik dalam menyebarkan informasi karena mengaksesnya sangat mudah dan praktis, diantaranya yaitu penyebarluasan informasi mengenai kesehatan khususnya kesehatan mental. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan seberapa besar pengaruh instagram @satupersenoffical terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi followers tentang mental awareness. Kebutuhan informasi timbul ketika pengetahuan yang dimiliki seseorang kurang dari yang dibutuhkan, sehingga mendorong seseorang untuk mencari informasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi tersebut Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti dalam penulisan ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan metode survey yang akan dilakukan unyuk memperoleh fakta-fakta tentang gejala-gejala atas permasalahan yang timbul.
