Abstract

Humans are creatures who have various needs in carrying out their lives and depend on the desires, needs and life demands of different individuals, one of which is clothing trends. Trends are anything that is talked about and paid attention to by many people. It cannot be denied that the development of internet technology is one of the advances in the current trend because it makes it easier to disseminate information among the public. In this case, the teenage age group is one of the groups that is influenced by the trend, one of the teenage cover dance groups in Bintaro, South Jakarta. On this basis, research was conducted with the title "TEENS KPOP CLOTHING TRENDS AS SELF IDENTITY (Trend Phenomenon in Teenage Dance Covers in Bintaro)". This research uses a qualitative method, phenomenology type, in a constructive paradigm with the aim of obtaining descriptive data from informants. To obtain data in research, researchers use several methods, namely through interviews and documentation. The subjects in this research are cover dances for teenagers in the Bintaro area, South Jakarta. The analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research explain the Kpop clothing trend among teenagers which is caused by the trend in clothing styles among teenagers. In this case, teenagers' acceptance of South Korean music and film shows has an influence on the clothing style among teenagers themselves. Furthermore, clothing is seen as something that can be used to convey messages based on the concept and theory of artifactual communication. In this research, it is stated that KPop clothing has a role and function as a means of expression and formation of identity or identity among dance cover teenagers in Bintaro. Keywords: Self Concept, Self Identity, Teenagers, Dance, Kpop Manusia merupakan makhluk yang mempunyai berbagai macam kebutuhan dalam menjalankan kehidupan dan tergantung pada keinginan, tunjuan, dan tuntutan hidup individu yang berbeda-beda, salah satunya tentang trend pakaian. Tren merupakan segala sesuatu yang banyak dibicarakan dan diperhatikan oleh banyak orang. Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa adanya perkembangan teknologi internet menjadi salah satu penunjang dari perkembangan trend yang ada sekarang ini karena mempermudah penyebaran informasi di kalangan Masyarakat. Dalam hal ini, kelompok usia remaja adalah salah satu kelompok yang terpengaruh oleh adanya tren, salah satu kelompok remaja dance cover di Bintaro, Jakarta Selatan. Atas dasar tersebut melakukan penelitian dengan judul “TREN PAKAIAN KPOP REMAJA SEBAGAI IDENTITAS DIRI (Fenomena Tren Pada Remaja Dance Cover Di Bintaro)”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis Fenomenologi, dalam paradigma konstruktif dengan tujuan memperoleh data deksriptif dari informan. Untuk memperoleh data dalam penelitian, peneliti menggunakan beberapa cara, yaitu melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini, yaitu remaja dance cover di daerah Bintaro, Jakarta Selatan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan ialah model Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang tren pakaian Kpop di kalangan remaja yang disebabkan karena adanya kecenderungan arah gaya berpakaian di kalangan remaja. Dalam hal ini penerimaan dari remaja terkait tayangan music dan film Korea Selatan memberikan pengaruh terhadap gaya berpakaian di kalangan remaja itu sendiri. Secara lebih lanjut, pakaian dipandang sebagai suatu hal yang dapat digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan yang didasari konsep dan teori komunikasi artifaktual. Pada penelitian ini, disebutkan bahwa pakaian KPop memiliki peran dan fungsi sebagai sarana mengekspresikan dan membentuk identitas atau jati diri di kalangan remaja dance cover di Bintaro.
