Abstract

The reporting of the murder case of Brigadier Joshua was one of the events that attracted the attention of the public and became a topic of coverage in various online media. Almost all media, both print, digital and online, present news related to Brigadier Joshua, including the online media viva.co.id. This research chose viva.co.id because after observing other online media, viva.co.id most frequently reported on the Brigadier J murder case and gave unique titles to each story. This research aims to find out how the construction of the daily viva.co.id frames news about the murder of Brigadier Joshua using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis. In this research the author use a contruvtivist paradigm, namely by using a qualitative approach through the framing analysis method. The analysis use was 8 news stories about the murder of Brigadier Joshua during the period August to November 2022. The primary collection technique was carried out using observation techniques. Meanwhile, the secondary data used is in the form of website article, online media, book, journals, technical data analysis including define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, treatment recommendation. Based on the result of the analysis of news about the murder case of Brigadier Joshua in the online media viva.co.id, the daily construction of news about the murder case of Brigadier Joshua in the online media viva.co.id can be seen from the highlight of certain aspect of an issue that presented to the public. This is closely related to the choice of word in each news that will be displayed to the audience or public Keywords: Framing, Brigadier Joshua Murder Case, Online Media, Viva.co.id Pemberitaan kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua adalah salah satu peristiwa yang menarik perhatian Masyarakat atau public dan menjadi topik pemebritaan di berbagai media online. Hampir seluruh media, baik media cetak, digital, online menyajikan berita-berita terkait Brigadir Joshua termasuk media online viva.co.id. Penelitian ini memilih viva.co.id karena setelah dilakukan observasi terhadap media online lain, viva.co.id yang paling sering memberitakan kasus pembunuhan Brigadir J serta memberikan judul-judul unik pada setiap beritanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana konstruksi harian viva.co.id dalam membingkai berita kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua dengan menggunakan analisis framing Robert N. Entman. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, yaitu dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode analisis framing. Analisis yang digunakan adalah 8 berita kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua selama periode Agustus sampai November 2022. Teknik pengumpulan primer dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan Teknik observasi. Sedangkan data segunder yang digunakan berupa artikel website, media online, buku, jurnal, teknil Analisa data meliputi define problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, treatment recommendation Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada berita kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua di media online viva.co.id, konstruksi harian berita kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua di media online viva.co.id dapat dilihat dari penonjolan aspek tertentu dari suatu isu yang ditampilkan ke public. Hal tersebut sangat berhubungan dengan pemilihan kata di setiap berita yang akan ditampilkan kepada khalayak atau public Kata Kunci : Framing, Berita, Kasus Pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua, Media Online, Viva.co.id
