Abstract
Social media has an impact on various fields, one of which is music. Platform music, there are Spotify, Joox, Youtube Music, which are a means of selling music. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of the 2017 Broadcasting Students at Mercu Buana University in listening to the Pamungkas song. The theory used is uses and gratification which assumes that audiences have psychological and social needs which ultimately make someone choose the media they want to use and the message suggested by Denis McQuail and his friends which consists of the audience's need for the function of the media in obtaining information, identity personal, and social interactions. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. In this study used a survey method, using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The population in the study was the 2017 Broadcasting Students at Mercu Buana University with a sample of 54 respondents who were taken by purposive sampling. Overall, based on the Likert scale calculation, it can be seen that the attitude that encourages 2017 Broadcasting Students at Mercu Buana University in liking the affective effect is 64,82% with the combined results of indicators strongly agreeing and agreeing.
