Abstract
This research analyzes the audience's reception of the reasons for being a cross-dresser in the video content of Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube Channel. Departing from the rise of the phenomenon of Crossdresser (cross-dressing) content on various social media in Indonesia. Even though the majority of people in Indonesia are followers of a religion, which prohibits the use of cross-dressing between men and women. This research method is a qualitative method. The approach used in this research is Stuart Hall Reception Analysis. The paradigm used in this research is the constructivist paradigm. The research object used is content from the Deddy Corbuzier eps channel "LOE COWOK NAPA CANTIK BGT SIH‼️". The unit of analysis is then interpreted in the form of three meanings that are characteristic of Stuart Hall, namely dominant hegemony, negotiation and opposition. The researchers obtained the findings, namely an understanding of the issue of the Cross-Dressing phenomenon in Indonesia. The researchers obtained the results, the pleasure factor was dominated by the Negotiated position, then the work factor was dominated by the Dominant position, the hobby factor was dominated by the Opposition position and the sexuality factor was also dominated by the Opposition position. Most informants can accept the reasons explained by Ravelio Bahri for becoming a Cross-Dresser, but there are still exceptions. Kata Kunci : Reception Analysis, Crossdresser, Youtube, Social Media, Trends Penelitian ini menganalisis resepsi penonton terhadap alasan menjadi cross-dresser dalam konten video Channel Youtube Deddy Corbuzier. Berangkat dari maraknya fenomena konten Crossdresser (berlintas busana) di berbagai media sosial di Indonesia. Padahal penduduk di Indonesia sendiri merupakan mayoritas pemeluk agama, yang melarang penggunaan lintas busana antara pria dan wanita. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Resepsi Stuart Hall. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah paradigma konstruktivis. Adapun objek penelitian yang digunakan ialah konten dari channel Deddy Corbuzier eps.”LOE COWOK NAPA CANTIK BGT SIH‼️”. Unit analisis tersebut kemudian dimaknai ke dalam bentuk tiga pemaknaan yang menjadi ciri khas Stuart Hall, yaitu hegemoni dominan, negosiasi, dan oposisi. Peneliti memperoleh hasil temuan yang didapatkan yaitu pemahaman terhadap isu fenomena Cross-Dressing di Indonesia. Peneliti memperoleh berupa hasil, Faktor kesenangan didominasi oleh posisi Negotiated, selanjutnya faktor pekerjaan didominasi oleh posisi Dominant, faktor hobi didominasi oleh posisi Oposition dan faktor seksualitas juga didominasi oleh posisi Oposition. Sebagian besar informan dapat menerima alasan yang dijelaskan oleh Ravelio Bahri untuk menjadi Cross-Dresser, namun tetap ada pengecualian.
