Abstract

Therapeutic communication is a method of communication with psychological or mental approach system. This communication cannot doing by ordinary people, because therapeutic communication have a techniques to healing effect. The nurses establishes a trusting relationship with the patient, so that the goal is for gave a motivated to the patients. The nurses keep on focus with the patients problem and give a suggestions to motivated cure the disease. The purpose of the therapeutic communication is to know how a process communicates therapeutic doing by a nurse to patients who suffer from mental disorders with various types of diseases. The nurse must have a work hard and have an extra of patience in dealing with mentally patients. Doing all efforts to healing patients by nurses on caring, treat a healing as well and being a role model for patients. This research uses communication theory, therapeutic communication, interpersonal communication and public relations. This research uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm. The researcher use in depth interviews for collecting data, observation and literature study. The results showed that the therapeutic communication by nurses showed that the nurses had obstacles or difficulties to patients with mental illness. The nurses need the time to increase motivation and controlling feelings of patient through therapy and daily activities. Keywords : Therapeutic Communication, Self Motivate, Public Relations Komunikasi terapeutik merupakan metode komunikasi yang mendekatkan sistem pendekatan psikologis atau jiwa. Komunikasi ini tidak bisa dilakukan oleh orang biasa, karena komunikasi terapeutik menggunakan teknik – teknik tertentu yang mempunyai efek sebuah penyembuhan. Perawat menjalin hubungan saling percaya dengan pasien, sehingga tujuan akhirnya agar pasien bisa termotivasi untuk sembuh. Perawat akan fokus pada masalah pasien dan memberikan sugesti agar pasien mempunyai motivasi untuk penyembuhan penyakitnya. Tujuan dari komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh perawat dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses perawat dalam mengkomunikasikan terapeutik kepada pasien yang mengidap gangguan kejiwaan dengan berbagai macam jenis penyakit. Tentu perawat harus bekerja keras dan mempunyai tingkat kesabaran ekstra dalam menghadapi pasien yang terganggu jiwanya. Segala upaya penyembuhan pasien yang dilakukan perawat dalam merawat, mempersuasi kesembuhan dan menjadi model atau panutan bagi pasien. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi, komunikasi terapeutik, komunikasi interpersonal dan public relations. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Peneliti menggunakan wawancara mendalam untuk pengumpulan data, observasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh perawat menunjukan bahwa terdapat kendala atau kesulitan perawat terhadap pasien yang mengalami sakit jiwa. Perawat membutuhkan waktu yang cukup untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan mengendalikan perasaan pasien melalui terapi dan aktifitas keseharian.
