Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 in Indonesia is part of the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic worldwide. Mangga Besar is one of the areas that is quite densely populated compared to other urban villages, on April 23, 2020 Mangga Besar was declared as one of the area that still has zero Covid-19 cases. This study aims to determine the strategy carried out by the Head of RT 007 RW 05 Mangga Besar. This study uses the theory of Communication Strategy, namely audience recognition, message preparation, method determination, media selection, and the role of communicators. The method used is a case study with data collection techniques used, namely data observation and interviews. The data analysis technique in this research is through data reduction, data presentation and verification. Data analysis in research takes place simultaneously with the data collection process. Based on the results of the study, the strategy in determining the method was very dominant and influential in stopping the spread of Covid-19 in RT 007 RW 05, Mangga Besar by conducting mask patrols which greatly affected the eyes of the RT 007 community. Keywords: Communication Strategy, Pandemic Covid-19, Mangga Besar Pandemi COVID-19 di Indonesia merupakan bagian dari pandemi penyakit koronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) yang sedang berlangsung di seluruh dunia. Kelurahan Mangga Besar adalah salah satu daerah yang terbilang cukup padat penduduk dibandingkan kelurahan yang lain, pada tanggal 23 April 2020 Kelurahan Mangga Besar dinyatakan sebagai salah satu kelurahan yang masih nihil kasus Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang dilakukan Ketua RT 007 RW 05 Kelurahan Mangga Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Strategi Komunikasi, yaitu pengenalan khalayak, penyusunan pesan, penetapan metode, pemilihan media, dan peranan komunikator. Metode yang digunakan adalah Studi Kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi data dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian berlangsung bersamaan dengan proses pengumpulan data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, strategi dalam menentukan metode sangat dominan dan berpengaruh dalam menghentikan penyebarluasan Covid-19 di RT 007 RW 05 Kelurahan Mangga Besar dengan melakukan ronda masker yang dimana hal tersebut sangat memberikan pengaruh dimata masyarakat RT 007.
