Abstract

The existence of an arts and culture center building is something that is expected to be present in a province. With the cultural diversity of a province, the existence of an arts and culture center building can be a place for the distinctive culture of a region to be maintained and maintained. West Java itself has a very rich culture and arts, so the presence of WJACC is necessary. The function of WJACC is to express the spirit of art in both traditional and contemporary art. To realize this function, spaces are presented that can accommodate these activities. Namely theatre, amphitheater, auditorium, gallery, cultural library, and workshop space. In addition to these main functions, there are additional functions that can revive the surrounding area from a social and economic perspective, namely creating an attractive outdoor space, a food court area, an area for selling works of art (souvenir shop), and an outdoor area reserved for the bazaar. With the artistic and cultural identity of WJACC, it cannot be separated from the distinctive culture of West Java itself. In this way, the concept of Neo Vernacular Architecture will be applied. Keywords: Arts and Culture Center, Neo Vernacular Keberadaan Gedung pusat kesenian dan kebudayaan merupakan sebuah hal yang diharapkan hadir di dalam suatu provinsi. Dengan keanekaragaman budaya dari sebuah provinsi, adanya gedung pusat kesenian dan kebudayaan dapat menjadi wadah dari budaya khas suatu daerah dapat dijaga dan dipertahankan. Jawa Barat sendiri memiliki budaya dan seni yang sangat kaya, sehingga keberadaan WJACC pun diperlukan. Fungsi dari WJACC yaitu sebagai adah mengekspresikan jiwa seni dalam seni tradisional maupun kontemporer. untuk mewujudkan fungsi tersebut, di hadirkanlah ruang- ruang yang dapat menampung kegiatan tersebut. Yaitu theater, amphitheater, auditorium, galeri, perpustakaan budaya, dan ruang workshop. Selain fungsi utama tersebut, terdapat fungsi tambahan yang dapat menghidupkan kawasan sekitar dari segi sosial maupun ekonomi, yaitu dibuatnya ruang luar yang menarik, area food court, area penjualan karya seni(toko souvenir), dan area outdoor yang disediakan untuk bazaar. Dengan identitas seni dan budaya dari WJACC, tidak dapat terlepas dari kebudayaan khas Jawa Barat sendiri. Dengan begitu akan diterapkan konsep Arsitektur Neo Vernakular.
