Abstract

Sex education is still considered taboo to be conveyed and discussed. Many believe that sex education can undermine the values and morals of children. Warung Baca Mata Air is one of those who hold this belief. However, sex education is essential to be provided to children so that they become aware of hidden dangers and can protect themselves from abuse. The theory underlying this mentoring is the theory of Public Relations Management. The participation of mentors in this program is as Mentoring Program Planners. The purpose of implementing this program is to create awareness about the importance of early sex education. Based on the mentoring results, applying the Public Relations Management theory is considered quite effective, as observed from the enthusiasm and attention shown by the children towards the activities. However, there are external factors that cause a loss of interest in learning and even lead to sexual deviance. Keywords: Sex Education, Public Relations Management, Perception, Awareness Edukasi seks masih menjadi hal yang tabu untuk disampaikan dan dibicarakan. Banyak beranggapan edukasi seks dapat merusak nilai dan moral anak. Warung Baca Mata Air merupakan salah satunya. Padahal edukasi seks penting disampaikan kepada anak agar anak menyadari bahaya laten dan terhindar dari pelaku pelecehan. Teori yang melandasi pendampingan ini adalah teori Manajemen Public Relations. Partisipasi pendamping dalam program ini adalah Perancang Program Pendampingan. Tujuan dilaksanakannya progam ini untuk menciptakan kesadaran akan pentingnya edukasi seks sejak dini. Dari hasil pendampingan yang telah dilakukan dengan menerapkan teori Manajemen PR dinilai cukup efektif melihat antusias dan perhatikan anak terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan. Namun, ada faktor eksternal yang menimbulkan hilangnya keinginan anak untuk belajar bahkan melakukan penyimpangan seksual. Kata Kunci : Edukasi Seks, Manajemen Public Relations, Persepsi, Kesadaran
