Abstract

Batu City Traditional Market has an important and vital role for the livelihood of the people of Batu City. Almost most of the economy in the city of Batu is in this market, but along with its important position for the community this is not in line with the current market conditions, where in the last 10 years in this area many housing, small and medium industries and facilities have emerged. other general. The condition of the Batu City Market is still very chaotic and disorganized, especially in terms of trade circulation, transport transit and the condition of buildings that are no longer feasible. The design of the Batu City Tourism Market is expected to provide solutions to market users and the surrounding community. The application of the concept of Tropical Architecture to the Batu City Tourism Market aims to respond to current market conditions and also the climate around Batu City in order to obtain a market building that is in harmony with nature. Keywords: City of Batu Market Pasar Tradisional Kota Batu memiliki peranan yang penting dan vital bagi hajat hidup masyarakat Kota Batu. Hampir sebagian perekonomian di kota Batu berada di pasar ini, namun seiring kedudukannya yang penting bagi masyarakat hal ini tidak sejalan dengan kondisi pasar yang saat ini ada, dimana dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir di Kawasan tersebut banyak bermunculan perumahan, industry kecil dan menengah serta fasilitas umum lainnya. Kondisi Pasar Kota Batu masih saat ini sangat semrawut dan kurang teratur terutama dalam sirkulasi perdagangan, transit angkutan dan kondisi bangunan yang sudah tidak layak, hal ini tentunya menjadi salah satu factor akan kelebihan kapasitas aktivitas perdagangan di pasar baik pada pagi hari ataupun hingga sore hari. Perancangan Pasar Wisata Kota Batu ini diharapkan bisa memberikan solusi pada pengguna pasar maupun masyarakat sekitar. Penerapan konsep Arsitektur Tropis pada Pasar Wisata Kota Batu bertujuan untuk merespon terhadap keadaan kondisi pasar saat ini dan juga iklim sekitar Kota Batu agar didapatkan bangunan pasar yang selaras dengan alam.
