Abstract

The documentary film "Potret Manusia Silver" raises the phenomenon of the existence of silver humans, which is one of the social phenomena that occur in urban areas or big cities. At first, the silver man's actions were carried out to attract public attention in a fundraising event. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping across the world, including in Indonesia, which led to many layoffs in various fields of the company, so many people turned to silver people as their livelihood. They must be willing to sacrifice their bodies with silver paint, which is not without risk. They feel itchy, not to mention the hot sunburn. The documentary film that the author made has the concept of an expository-style biographical portrait where all shooting is based on actual reality. The shot element that produces meaning in taking pictures is also meaningful to provide a visual message and as a support for the statement that the resource person mentioned during the observation process. The process of stages in making the documentary "Silver Man" uses pre-production, production, and post-production stages as an image stylist, namely the person who is responsible for all technical aspects of image recording. It is the cameraman who has to make sure that no mistakes are made while taking pictures. and must ensure taking sharp images (focus), image composition (framing) is right, setting the level or sound level in accordance with the original color (nature), and must get the best picture. Keywords : Documentary Film, Implementation of the five c’s of cinematography, Silver Man Film Dokumenter “Potret Manusia Silver” mengangkat Fenomena keberadaan manusia silver yang merupakan salah satu fenomena sosial yang terjadi di wilayah urban atau kota-kota besar. Awal mula aksi manusia silver dilakukan untuk menarik perhatian publik dalam ajang penggalangan dana. Namun, akibat dari pandemi Covid-19 melanda seluruh Dunia termasuk di Indonesia yang menyebabkan banyaknya pemutusan hubungan kerja di berbagai bidang perusahaan sehingga banyak orang yang menjadikan manusia silver sebagai mata pencaharian. Mereka harus rela mengorbankan tubuhnya dengan dilumuri cat berwarna silver, yang bukan tanpa resiko. Rasa gatal-gatal mereka rasakan, belum lagi sengatan matahari yang cukup panas. Film dokumenter yang penulis buat berkonsep potret biografi yang bergaya expository dimana semua pengambilan gambar berdasarkan realita yang sesungguhnya. Unsur shot yang menghasilkan makna dalam pengambilan gambar juga bermakna untuk memberikan pesan visual dan sebagai pendukung terhadap statement yang narasumber sebutkan pada saat proses observasi. Proses tahapan dalam pembuatan dokumenter “Manusia Silver” menggunakan tahapan pra produksi, proses produksi, serta pasca produksi sebagai penata gambar yaitu orang yang bertanggung jawab untuk semua aspek teknis perekaman gambar. Juru kamera yang harus memastikan bahwa tidak ada kesalahan yang dilakukan saat mengambil gambar. Dan harus memastikan mengambil gambar tajam (fokus), komposisi gambar (framing) yang tepat, pengaturan level atau tingkat suara yang sesuai dengan warna aslinya (alam) dan harus mendapatkan gambar yang terbaik.
