Abstract
Perception is an internal process that allows us to select, organize and interpret stimuli from our environment and these processes affect us. And the purpose of this study was to determine the perception of the Spongebob Squarpants cartoon show on students. The population used in this study were students who watched the Spongebob SquarePants series. The method used in this study uses the positivism paradigm. The sample is 127 students. The analytical technique used is Validity and Reliability. The results showed that: (1) of 127 respondents 43.3% watched the Spongebob series, (2) of 127 respondents 35.4% did not pay attention to the existence of LGBT elements in the series. (3) out of 127 50.4% of respondents pay attention to Spongebob and Patrick's daily life. . Key words : Perception, students, Gay and Queer, Spongebob Squarpants, global Tv Persepsi adalah proses internal yang memungkinkan kita memilih, mengorganisasikan dan menafsirkan rangsan dari lingkungan kita dan proses tersebut memp Populasi yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahsiswa yang menonton serial spongebob squarpants. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma positivisme. Sampel berjumlah 127 mahasiswa. Teknik analisi yang digunakan adalah engaruhi kita. Dan tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi tayangan kartun Spongebob Squarpants pada mahasiswa.Validitas dan Reabilitas. Hasil penilitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) dari 127 responden 43,3% menonton serial Spongebob, (2) dari 127 responden 35,4% yang kurang memperhatikan adanya unsur LGBT dalam serial tersebut. (3) dari 127 50,4% responden memperhatikan keseharian Spongebob dan Patrick. . Kata kunci : Persepsi, mahasiswa, Gay dan Queer, Spongebob Squarpants, global Tv
