Abstract
The Sleman Godean area is an area of economic growth that can support community life, with the development of an increasingly advanced area, can be an attraction in the tourism sector, to boost the economy of local communities. In this design, it is hoped that changing the market design can increase interest in the area. Application of contemporary vernacular concepts intended to change the view of traditional markets which tend to be slums become a more organized market, tidier, and increase technological advances. And this concept will still maintain the characteristics of Central Java itself, so it remains to maintain the culture and become the main attraction. Keywords: Market, Godean Market, Contemporary Vernacular Kawasan sleman godean merupakan kawasan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang dapat menunjang kehidupan masyaarakat, dengan perkembangan Kawasan yang semakin maju, dapat menjadi daya tarik dalam sector pariwisata, sehingga dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Dalam perancangan ini diharapkan dalam merubah desain pasar dapat meningkatkan ketertarikan kepada kawasan. Penerapan konsep vernakular kontemporer dimaksudkan dapat merubah pandangan terhadap pasar tradisional yang cenderung kumuh menjadi pasar yang lebih tertata, rapih, dan meningkatkan kemajuan teknologi. Dan dalam konsep ini tetap akan mempertahankan karakteristik dari jawa tengah itu sendiri, sehingga tetap mempertahankan budaya dan menjadi daya Tarik utama.
