Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Reward and Punishment in PT.SAT. Respondents of this study were 82 people who were in South Tangerang who worked at PT. SAT with a position of cashiers and salespeople with purposive sampling. The research instrument used a measuring instrument of adaptation and modification results with a total of 36 items for Reward (Ivancevich, Konopaske and Matteson in Gania, 2006) with α 0.879. A total of 24 items for Punishment (Veitzal Rivai, 2005) with α 0.777. and 13 items for performance (Dharma, 2003) with α 0.797. Data analysis using descriptive data and inference analysis. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant effect simultaneously of reward and punishment on employee performance (F = 4,235; sig = 0.018). Keywords: Reward, Punishment, employee performance Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Reward dan Punishment di PT.SAT. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 82 orang yang berada di tangerang selatan yang bekerja di PT. SAT dengan posisi kasir dan pramuniaga dengan sampling purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur hasil adaptasi dan modifikasi dengan total 36 aitem untuk Reward (Ivancevich, Konopaske dan Matteson dalam Gania, 2006) dengan α 0.879. Total 24 aitem untuk Punishment (Veitzal Rivai, 2005) dengan α 0.777. dan 13 aitem untuk Kinerja (Dharma, 2003) dengan α 0.797. Analisis data menggunakan data deskriptif dan analisis inferensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikans secara simultan dari reward dan punishment terhadap kinerja karyawan (F = 4,235; sig = 0,018).
