Abstract
The globalization era competition brings business players to continue to compete. To be able to achieve organizational goals and maintain stability in the organization, it requires superior and quality human resources. This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and training on management succession as a mediating variable in an effort to improve organizational capability at PT. Gama Plantation. The research data was taken based on a questionnaire that had been distributed to 145 respondents. The sampling method used is nonprobability sampling. The analytical method used by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 23.0 program. The results showed that transformational leadership had a significant positive effect on management succession, training had a significant positive effect on management succession, transformational leadership had a significant positive effect on organizational capability, training had a significant positive effect on organizational capability, and management succession had a significant positive effect on organizational capability. Based on the results of the research found it is expected to be able to better provide a figure of a good leader and provide targeted training so that later succession of management can run well so as to improve organizational capabilities at PT. Gama Plantation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan pelatihan terhadap suksesi manajemen sebagai variabel mediasi dalam upaya meningkatkan kapabilitas organisasi pada PT. Gama Plantation. Data penelitian ini diambil berdasarkan kuesioner yang telah disebar kepada 145 responden. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah nonprobability sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan dengan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan program AMOS 23,0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap suksesi manajemen, pelatihan memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap suksesi manajemen, kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kapabilitas organisasi, pelatihan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kapabilitas organisasi, dan suksesi manajemen berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kapabilitas organisasi. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian yang ditemukan diharapkan untuk agar dapat lebih memberikan sosok gambaran pemimpin yang baik dan memberikan pelatihan yang tepat sasaran agar nantinya suksesi manajemen dapat berjalan dengan baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kapabilitas organisasi pada PT.
