Abstract
The purpose of this research is to understand the correlation between work motivation and burnout on Bank X's employees in West Jakarta. 80 frontline workers were selected as saturated sample respondents. The measuring tool used for work motivation was 30 items adapted from Herdianti Putri (2011) based on Herzberg theory (1959) with Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.914, as well as 18 items for burnout adapted from Muhammad Fadel Mirad (2019) based on the Maslach & Leiter theory (2016) with Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.844. The results of the research showed that there was a significant negative correlation between work motivation and burnout (the correlation value was -0.755 with significant value of 0,000 (p<0,01)). It means, the higher the work motivation of the employees, the lower the burnout owned by the employees of Bank X in West Jakarta. On the other hand, the lower the work motivation of the employees, the higher the burnout owned by the employees of Bank X in West Jakarta. Keywords : Work Motivation, Burnout, Private Banks Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan burnout pada karyawan Bank X di Jakarta Barat. Sebanyak 80 orang frontliner dipilih secara sampel jenuh untuk menjadi responden penelitian. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk motivasi kerja adalah berupa 30 aitem yang diadaptasi dari Herdianti Putri (2011) berdasarkan teori Herzberg (1959) dan memiliki nilai Cronbach's Alpha 0.914, serta 18 aitem untuk burnout yang diadaptasi dari Muhammad Fadel Mirad (2019) berdasarkan teori Maslach & Leiter (2016) dengan nilai Cronbach's Alpha 0.844. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan burnout (nilai korelasinya -0.755 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,01)). Artinya, semakin tinggi motivasi kerja karyawan maka semakin rendah burnout yang dimiliki pada Karyawan Bank X di Jakarta Barat. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah motivasi kerja karyawan maka semakin tinggi burnout yang dimiliki pada Karyawan Bank X di Jakarta Barat.. Kata kunci : Motivasi Kerja, Burnout, Bank Swasta
