Abstract

Recreation is an activity that a person can do to avoid boredom, stress, and even depression. Tourism trends that are currently developing tend to focus on integrated tourist areas in the form of resorts rather than partial ones. The cause of this shift occurs due to the characteristics of some tourist areas that do not provide optimal satisfaction for tourists. The existence of resorts is not solely to pamper tourists with various tourist services, but also to protect the environment and culture of the surrounding community. Therefore, the development or management of a Resort must have a theme that is in accordance with the physical characteristics of the region and the culture where the Resort is located. Kuningan Regency has panoramic views of natural beauty surrounded by lakes, waterfalls and various other water attractions. The atmosphere of the city is calm and beautiful nature can certainly be the right choice to unwind. Therefore the authors are interested in designing a Resort with a Neo Vernacular Architectural Approach located in Kuningan Regency. The Neo Vernacular Architectural Approach is one of the architectural styles that emerged in the Post Modern era which combines traditional architecture with modern architecture. Along with the development of technology and information as well as the flow of globalization, local culture and wisdom began to fade from people's lives. Therefore, maintaining cultural values is an important thing to maintain its sustainability. The application of the Neo Vernacular Architecture concept aims to realize local cultural values. Hotel Resort Kuningan adopts natural and cultural values as the identity of the building. Keywords : Recreation, Tourism, Nature, Hotels, Resorts, Kuningan Rekreasi merupakan kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan seseorang untuk menghindari kejenuhan, stress, sampai dengan depresi. Tren wisata yang berkembang pada saat ini cenderung berorientasi pada Kawasan wisata terpadu dalam bentuk Resort dibandingkan dalam bentuk parsial. Adapun penyebab pergeseran ini terjadi karena karakteristik Kawasan wisata parsial yang kurang memberikan kepuasan yang optimal bagi wisatawan. Keberadaan Resort tidak semata-mata hanya untuk memanjakan wisatawan dengan berbagai layanan wisata, melainkan juga berfungsi menjaga lingkungan dan budaya masyarakat sekitarnya. Maka dari itu, pembangunan atau pengelolaan Resort harus memiliki tema yang sesuai dengan karakteristik fisik daerah serta budaya dimana Resort itu berada. Kabupaten Kuningan memiliki panorama keindahan alam yang dikelilingi danau, curug, dan berbagai wisata air lainnya. Suasana kotanya yang tenang dan alam yang indah, tentunya dapat menjadi pilihan yang tepat untuk melepas penat. Maka dari itu, penulis tertarik untuk merancang Resort dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular yang terletak di Kabupaten Kuningan. Pendekatan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular merupakan salah satu gaya arsitektur yang muncul di era Post Modern yang menggabungkan antara arsitektur tradisional dengan arsitektur modern. Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi dan informasi serta arusnya globalisasi, budaya dan kearifan lokal mulai memudar dari kehidupan masyarakat. Maka dari itu, menjaga nilai-nilai budaya merupakan satu hal yang penting untuk tetap menjaga kelestariannya. Penerapan konsep Arsitektur Neo Vernakular bertujuan untuk melestarikan nilai budaya setempat. Hotel Resort Kuningan ini, mengadopsi nilai alam dan budaya sebagai identitas bangunan.
