Abstract
Children are a gift from the Creator that is entrusted to be cared for, guided and educated who will later become Human Resources in the future. It is hoped that children can be a useful generation for themselves, their families, the environment and the nation. Early childhood education is very important. Child coaching and education is very dependent on the role of parents in stimulating children and preparing for their future. One of the efforts to encourage children's growth and development is to provide stimulation from birth with the aim to encourage the physical and spiritual development of children so they have readiness to enter further education and are ready to face the future. Children aged 6-24 months are at a very important time to develop. But on the other hand, including the vulnerable period if the child is not stimulated or lack of adequate stimulation of interaction from parents. This research is interesting to do because it examines the communication approach that is carried out to infants aged 6-24 months to improve infant development will be revealed in this study. The purpose of this study was to determine, describe and describe the use of verbal and non verbal communication to babies aged 6-24 months at the Rockstar Gym school. The theory used in this research is the theory of verbal and non verbal communication found in the book Sasa Djuarsa and Mark L. Knapp. This research uses a constructivist paradigm, with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were seven people who were management, instructors and parents of Rockstar Gym students. Data collection techniques used in this study by conducting in-depth interviews and direct observation to the field. The results of this study indicate that verbal and non-verbal communication approaches in Rockstar Gym schools for babies aged 6-24 months are divided into two classes, namely crawler classes for ages 6-12 months and walker classes for ages 12-24 months. Both classes use verbal and non verbal communication in the teaching method. In teaching in the classroom, there are also obstacles experienced by teachers in applying verbal and non verbal communication to babies aged 6-24 months, especially in the crawler class where students are aged 6-12 months who cannot speak yet. Keywords : Verbal Communication, Non Verbal Communication, Communication Barriers Anak merupakan anugerah dari Sang Pencipta yang diamanahkan untuk dirawat, dibimbing dan dididik yang nantinya akan menjadi Sumber Daya Manusia dimasa mendatang. Diharapkan anak bisa menjadi generasi yang berguna bagi dirinya, keluarga, lingkungan dan bangsa. Pendidikan anak usia dini sangat penting. Pembinaan dan Pendidikan anak sangat tergantung peran orangtua dalam menstimulasi anak dan menyiapkan masa depannya. Salah satu upaya untuk mendorong tumbuh kembang anak adalah dengan memberikan rangsangan sejak lahir tujuannya untuk mendorong perkembangan jasmani dan rohani anak agar memiliki kesiapan dalam memasuki pendidikan lebih lanjut dan siap menghadapi masa mendatang. Anak usia 6-24 bulan berada pada masa sangat penting untuk berkembang. Namun di sisi lain termasuk masa rawan jika anak kurang distimulasi atau kurang mendapat rangsangan interaksi yang memadai dari orangtua. Penelitian ini menarik untuk dilakukan karena mengkaji tentang pendekatan komunikasi yang dilakukan kepada bayi usia 6 -24 bulan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan bayi akan diungkap dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui , memaparkan dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan komunikasi verbal dan non verbal kepada bayi usia 6 – 24 bulan di sekolah Rockstar Gym. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori komunikasi verbal and non verbal yang di tedapat di buku Sasa Djuarsa dan Mark L. Knapp.Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstrutivisme, dengan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tujuh orang yang merupakan management, pengajar dan orang tua murid Rockstar Gym. Teknik pengumpulam data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam dan obsevasi langsung ke lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan komunikasi verbal dan non verbal di sekolah Rockstar Gym untuk bayi usia 6 -24 bulan dibagi meenjadi dua kelas, yaitu kelas crawler untuk usia 6- 12 bulan dan kelas walker untuk usia 12 – 24 bulan. Kedua kelas menggunakan komunikasi verbal dan non verbal didalam metode pengajarannya. Didalam pengajaran di kelas, tedapat juga hambatan-hambatann yang dialami oleh pengajar dalam menerapkan komunikasi verbal dan non verbal kepada bayi usia 6 – 24 bulan, khususnya di kelas crawler yang muridnya masih berusia 6 – 12 bulan belum bisa berbicara.
