Abstract

The study uses a research methodology with a critical paradigm, a qualitative, descriptive method of study, a data collection technique divided into 2 namely primary data: the contents of the preaching text while secondary data: communication studies, Analysis Unit is detik.com news portal, data analysis technique is by analyzing the text of discourse with Teun theory van Dijk. The Teun Van Dijk Theoretical analysis model is divided into three dimensions, namely text, social cognition and social context. While in this study, researchers used only dimensional text because of social cognition and social context including the weakness of researchers. The results of the study in the Didetik.com/news Proclamation showed the announcement of the candidacy of Prabowo and Sandiaga Uno as candidate and cawapres, packing related news and using pyramid structures, delivering the message, using the explanatory coherence, and presents news with figurative words. Based on the results of the study, overall news about Prabowo-Sandiaga post-registration of Capres-Cawapres in the portal detik.com gives a positive image for the prospective spouse. Keywords: Mass Media, Discourse Analysis, Image Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan metodologi penelitian dengan paradigma kritis, metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu data primer : isi teks pemberitaan sedangkan data sekunder : studi komunikasi, unit analisis yaitu portal berita detik.com, teknik analisis data yaitu dengan menganalisis teks wacana dengan teori teun van dijk. Model analisis dari teori teun van dijk terbagi menjadi 3(tiga) dimensi yaitu teks, kognisi sosial dan konteks sosial. Sedangkan dalam penelitian ini, peneliti hanya menggunakan dimensi teksnya saja dikarenakan kognisi sosial dan konteks sosial termasuk kelemahan peneliti. Hasil penelitian dalam pemberitaan didetik.com/news menampilkan pemberitaan pencalonan Prabowo dan Sandiaga Uno sebagai capres dan cawapres, mengemas berita secara deskriptif dan menggunakan struktur piramida terbalik, penyampaian pesan secara tegas, menggunakan koherensi penjelas serta menyajikan berita dengan kata-kata kiasan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, secara keseluruhan pemberitaan mengenai Prabowo-Sandiaga pasca pendaftaran capres-cawapres diportal berita detik.com memberikan citra positif bagi pasangan calon.
