Abstract

Ulrich & Eppinger (2008: 190) define design as a professional service that involves establishing concepts and specifications that maximize the value, function, and aesthetics of products and systems for the benefit of both consumers and producers. A food truck is a vehicle used to serve food or beverages that has been adapted to look like a kitchen or bar and is furnished with tools for the job. The culinary industry has a lot of possibility in the industrial sector, as evidenced by the products that are marketed in a variety of settings, starting with eateries, cafes, and a more innovative idea known as a food truck. The design of the Babeh Meatballs food truck incorporates innovation to make it simple to carry out tasks like cooking and serving clients as well as a design that can indicate Babeh Meatballs' presence. So in order to make the Bakso Babeh food truck more appealing in terms of outside shape and better structured activities between cooking, preparation, and serving, the design idea was created. Keywords: Design, Food Truck, Exterior and Interior, Babeh Meatballs Desain menurut Ulrich & Eppinger (2008:190) adalah layanan profesional dalam menciptakan dan mengembangkan konsep dan spesifikasi yang mengoptimalkan fungsi, nilai, tampilan produk dan sistem untuk saling menguntungkan antara pengguna dan produsen. Food truck adalah kegiatan menjual makanan atau minuman dengan menggunakan media unit mobil yang dimodifikasi menyerupai dapur atau bar dan dilengkapi dengan alat penunjang usaha tersebut. Usaha kuliner merupakan usaha yang memiliki peluang yang cukup besar di dunia industri, dapat dilihat dari aspek produk yang dijual dengan cara yang berbeda-beda mulai dari restoran, kafe maupun konsep baru yang belakangan ini dikenal dengan food truck. Desain food truck bakso babeh ini didesain dengan inovasi yang dapat memberikan kemudahan pelaksanaan kegiatan dalam memasak dan melayani pembeli serta desain yang dapat mewakili existensi bakso babeh. Oleh karena itu, konsep desain food truck bakso babeh ini merupakan upaya untuk menciptakan image baru agar lebih menarik secara bentuk eksterior dan lebih terorganisir aktivitas antara memasak, menyiapkan dan pelayanan.
