Abstract

Healing is an individual holistic experience where there is a process of overall improvement and change, both in the mind, body and spirit resulting in positive change, discovery of meaning and movement towards complete selfrealization, regardless of the presence or absence of illness. This research has a goal to find out how the reality show In The Soop: BTS Ver narrate the story of healing to its audience. This research uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach. While the research method used is Seymour Chatman's narrative analysis which divides the formation of the narrative into two categories, namely kernels (main events) and satellites (supporting events). Researchers use this method to dissect scenes, dialogue between members as well as impact caption displayed on a screen that supports narration healing on eight episodes of reality show In The Soop: BTS Ver. The research results show that reality show In The Soop: BTS Ver, narrated healing in two main events that is self healing and healing through food. Narration of self healing can be seen such as gratitude, self compassion, positive self talk and mindfulness. Narration healing through food told through scenes of communal eating carried out during the program. While supporting events (satellite) narrated such as healing through nature where the members experience the restoration experience gained from the activities carried out while in the natural surroundings of the villa. The last satellite shown was healing through humor and laughter that help enrich and maintain a fun and light atmosphere throughout the show's episodes without disrupting the main narrative. By grouping events into kernels and satellites, this can make it easier to build the narrative of the non-scripted reality show like In The Soop: BTS Ver. Keywords: Reality show, narrative analysis, healing, self healing Healing adalah pengalaman holistik individual dimana terjadi proses perbaikan dan perubahan secara menyeluruh, baik dalam pikiran, tubuh dan jiwa yang mengakibatkan perubahan positif, penemuan makna dan gerakan menuju realisasi diri secara utuh, terlepas dari ada atau tidak adanya penyakit. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana program reality show In The Soop: BTS Ver menarasikan cerita healing kepada audinesnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian desktiptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sementara metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis naratif milik Seymour Chatman dimana membagi pembentukan narasinya kedalam dua kategori yaitu kernel (kejadian utama) dan satelit (kejadian pendukung). Peneliti menggunakan metode ini untuk membedah adegan-adegan, dialog antar member serta impact caption yang ditampilkan di layar yang mendukung narasi healing pada delapan episode reality show In The Soop: BTS Ver. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reality show In The Soop: BTS Ver, menarasikan healing dalam dua kejadian utama yaitu self healing serta healing melalui makanan. Narasi self healing yang bisa diperlihatkan seperti gratitude, self compassion, positive self talk dan mindfulness. Narasi healing melalui makanan diceritakan melalui adegan communal eating yang dilakukan selama program berlangsung. Sementara kejadian-kejadian pendukung (satelit) yang menarasikan healing adalah healing melalui alam dimana para member merasakan pengalaman restorasi yang didapat dari tegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan selama berada di lingkungan sekitar vila yang alami. Satelit terakhir yang diperlihatkan adalah healing melalui humor dan tawa yang membantu memperkaya dan menjaga suasana menyenangkan serta ringan pada keseluruhan episode acara tanpa mengganggu narasi utama. Dengan mengelompokkan kejadian-kejadian kedalam kernel dan satelit maka hal ini bisa mempermudah pembangunan narasi pada program reality show tanpa naskah seperti In The Soop: BTS Ver.
