Abstract

Early marriage occurs because there are several factors such as free sex or matchmaking. Therefore, this study aims to determine and analyze the communication process in early marriage couples in Duri Kosambi Village. Based on data from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) in 2019, 375 teenagers married at an early age every day. The theory used for this research is Interpersonal Communication contained in the book Interpersonal Communication: Daily Interaction. The research methodology uses descriptive qualitative research. The data analysis technique used is by conducting interviews with predetermined sources and participatory observation techniques, namely the researcher observes what people do, listens to what is said and participates in their activities. From the results of research and data analysis that has been carried out, the results show that the obstacles in interpersonal communication between husband and wife who marry at an early age are ego, lack of understanding of each other's character and underestimate small things. These barriers can be overcome by means of effective interpersonal communication in order to accept each other positively the shortcomings of each partner. Keywords: Early Marriage, Communication Process, Adolescents, Case Studies Pernikahan dini terjadi karena ada beberapa faktor diantara nya seperti sex bebas ataupun perjodohan. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis proses komunikasi pada pasangan pernikahan dini di Kelurahan Duri Kosambi. Berdasarkan data yang terdapat pada Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) tahun 2019 sebanyak 375 remaja menikah di usia dini setiap harinya. Teori yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Komunikasi Interpersonal yang terdapat dalam buku Komunikasi Interpersonal: Interaksi Keseharian. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan wawancara kepada narasumber yang telah ditetapkan dan teknik observasi partisipasif, yaitu peneliti mengamati apa yang dikerjakan orang, mendengarkan apa yang diucapkan dan berpartisipasi dalam aktivitas mereka. Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa hambatan-hambatan di dalam komunikasi interpersonal antara suami istri yang menikah usia dini yaitu ego, kurang memahami karakter satu sama lain serta menyepelekan hal kecil . Hambatan – hambatan ini dapat diatasi dengan cara melakukan komunikasi antar pribadi yang efektif agar dapat saling menerima dengan positif kekurangan pasangan masing – masing.
