Abstract

Starting from a historical problem that has been forgotten causes a sense of nationalism that has faded in people's lives, especially the younger generation. This board game will raise the theme of the history of the war of the March 1, 1949 attack. The concept of the board game design is "Survive and Attack" feel the experience of the heroes how to reclaim the city of Yogyakarta from colonial rule. Strategy board game in general has many components, complicated games, many rules of the game and old and boring games. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of creating a new game that has an educational element about history, new ways to play, and interesting board games. Kata kunci : Boardgame, History, General attack march 1th 1949 Berawal dari masalah sejarah yang telah dilupakan menyebabkan rasa nasionalisme yang telah pudar di kehidupan masyarakat terutama generasi muda. Permainan boardgame ini akan mengangkat tema tentang sejarah perang Serangan 1 Maret 1949. Konsep dari perancangan boardgame ini adalah “Bertahan dan Menyerang” merasakan pengalaman para pahlawan bagaimana merebut kembali kota Yogyakarta dari kekuasaan penjajah. Permainan boardgame strategi pada umumnya memiliki komponen yang banyak, permainan yang rumit, peraturan permainan yang banyak dan permainan yang lama dan membosankan. Oleh karena itu maka penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menciptakan sebuah permainan baru yang memiliki unsur edukasi tentang sejarah, cara bermain yang baru, dan permainan boardgame yang menarik untuk dimainkan.
