Abstract

The Documentary Film “Prajurit Pari Gisik” is a biographical documentary or portrait of the life of a farmer who is on the sea coast to be precise in the Sukajaya Village area, Cilamaya Kulon, Karawang. This documentary tells the story of a farmer who is near the sea coast, which is unique in making the farmers here become fishermen too. In addition, the farmers here also continue to work during the pandemic to produce food items such as rice for the wider community. In making this documentary, the writer acts as a director, who applies the theory and concept of directing. In the documentary film "Prajurit Pari Gisik" the author uses the theory of mise en scene as a concept in the film which consists of four elements, namely: Setting, Costumes and Makeup, Lighting, and Actors. Keywords: Documentary Film, Coastal Farmer, Director Film Dokumenter “Prajurit Pari Gisik” adalah film dokumenter biografi atau potret kehidupan seorang petani yang berada di pesisir laut tepatnya yang berada di daerah Desa Sukajaya, Cilamaya Kulon, Karawang. Film Dokumenter ini menceritakan kisah tentang seorang petani yang berada di dekat pesisir laut, yang unik nya menjadikan petani disini menjadi seorang nelayan juga. Selain itu, para petani disini juga tetap bekerja di kala pandemi untuk menghasilkan bahan pangan seperti beras untuk masyarakat luas. Dalam pembuatan film dokumenter ini penulis berperan sebagai sutradara, yang mengaplikasi-kan teori dan konsep penyudtradaraan. Dalam film dokumenter “Prajurit Pari Gisik” ini penulis menggunakan teori mise en scene sebagai konsep pada film tersebut yang terdiri dari empat unsur yaitu: Setting, Kostum dan Tata Rias, Pencahayaan, Serta Aktor.
