Abstract

In general, employees feel depressed or stressed if they have a poor communication relationship with their superiors, it causes a decrease in the level of work motivation. This makes a phenomenon where the decline in employee motivation can be analyzed in terms of the communication strategy applied by the leader. So the focus and purpose of this research is the communication technique of the leadership of the Digital Operation Assurance Unit of PT. Telkom Indonesia, Tbk South Jakarta in motivating employees to work. This study uses a constructivist paradigm by applying a descriptivequalitative research method that collects data through interviews and documentation of two leaders and six employees of the Digital Operation Assurance Unit of PT. Telkom Indonesia, Tbk South Jakarta, which is adjusted to the respondents' criteria for research. Researchers also use journals and books to support research results, as well as implement a data validity test to check the credibility of the data. The results showed that the communication techniques carried out by the leadership to employees in motivating employees' work included four communication strategy factors, namely knowing the audience, compiling messages, establishing methods with five redundancy methods, canalizing, informative, persuasive, educative and using WhatsApp group communication media for dissemination. information more quickly and widely to avoid miscommunication among co-workers. Keywords: Communication Techniques, Communication Strategies, Work Motivation Pada umumnya karyawan merasa tertekan atau stress jika mempunya hubungan komunikasi yang buruk dengan atasannya, itu menyebabkan menurunnya tingkat motivasi kerja. Hal ini menjadikan fenomena dimana menurunnya motivasi kerja karyawan dapat dianalisis dari segi tstrategi komunikasi yang diterapkan oleh pimpinannya. Maka fokus dan tujuan penelitian ini adalah teknik komunikasi pimpinan Unit Digital Operation Assurance PT. Telkom Indonesia, Tbk Jakarta Selatan dalam memotivasi kerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan mengaplikasikan metode penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif yang mengumpulkan datanya melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap dua pimpinan dan enam karyawan unit Unit Digital Operation Assurance PT. Telkom Indonesia, Tbk Jakarta Selatan, yang mana disesuaikan dengan kriteria responden untuk penelitian. Peneliti juga menggunakan jurnal dan buku untuk mendukung hasil penelitian, serta mengimplementasikan uji keabsahan data sebagai pengecekan kredibilitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan kepada karyawan dalam memotivasi kerja karyawan meliputi empat faktor strategi komunikasi yaitu mengenal khalayak, menyusun pesan, menetapkan metode dengan lima metode redundancy, canalizing, informatif, persuasif, edukaitf dan penggunaan media komunikasi WhatsApp grup guna penyebaran informasi lebih cepat dan luas menghindari miskomunikasi sesama rekan kerja.
