Abstract
The high transmission of Covid-19 at the beginning of the pandemic forced the government to make changes in the education system in Indonesia. Over time there has been a change in learning methods from home learning to blended learning. Blended learning is a combination of home learning and face-to-face learning models using the help of communication media. This study aims to analyze what communication patterns occur during the blended learning learning process, to find out the features of media and applications that support blended learning, to analyze the obstacles that occur during the blended learning process. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, and uses a constructivist paradigm, which is supported by the theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). The results showed that the communication process carried out by teachers and students during blended learning at SDN Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi, used synchronous and asynchronous media. The types of synchronous media used during blended learning are whatsapp, google meeting, zoom meeting, and youtube. While the types of asynchronous media used are whatsapp, google classroom, and google form. The pattern of teacher and student communication that occurred at SDN Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi, when blended learning was running, were linear, interactional, and transactional communication patterns. Barriers from teachers and students when blended learning generally occur due to the media not being supported, and the loss of student motivation to take lessons, as well as teachers who are still unable and skilled at using media aids. communication, use of communication media, and communication barriers. Keywords: Communication Pattern, Blended Learning, Synchronous– Asynchronous Tingginya penularan covid-19 pada awal pendemi memaksa pemerintah untuk melakukan perubahan di dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia. Seiring berjalannya waktu terjadi perubahan metode pembelajaran dari mulai home learing menjadi blended learning. Blended learning merupakan perpaduan pembelajaran model home learning dan tatap muka secara langsung dengan menggunakan bantuan media komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi apa yang terjadi selama proses pembelajaran blended learning , untuk mengetahui fitur-fitur media dan aplikasi pendukung blended learning, menganalisis kendala yang terjadi selama proses blended learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, serta menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, yang di dukung oleh teori Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa selama blended learning di SDN Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi, menggunakan media synchronous dan asynchronous. Jenis media synchronous yang digunakan pada saat blended learning yaitu whatsapp, google meeting, zoom meeting, dan youtube. Sedangkan jenis media asynchronous yang digunakan yaitu whatsapp, google classroom, dan google form. Pola komunikasi guru dan siswa yang terjadi di SDN Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi, ketika blended learning sedang berjalan yaitu pola komunikasi linier, interaksional, dan transaksional. Hambatan dari guru dan siswa ketika blended learning umumnya terjadi akibat media tidak di dukung, dan hilangnya motivasi siswa untuk mengikuti pelajaran, serta guru yang masih belum bisa dan terampil menggunakan alat bantu media.Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pola komunikasi dalam pelaksanaan blended learning mencakup proses komunikasi, penggunaan media komunikasi, dan hambatan komunikasi. Proses tersebut akan terjadi pola komunikasi linier, interaksional, dan transaksional. Pola tersebut berjalan sejalan dengan penggunaan media synchronous dan asynchronous yang digunakan pada saat blended learning oleh guru dan siswa di SDN Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi.
