Abstract

Communication is the most important thing in education between teachers and students to achieve the same goal. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture to stop teaching and learning activities in order to reduce the positivity rate in COVID-19 cases faceto-face is transferred to online with existing media such as Google Meeting, Discord. This study aims to find out and analyze 1.) communication patterns from teaching and learning activities at SD "XYZ" West Jakarta. 2.) Obstacles that occur during the online learning process. 3.) Non-verbal symbolic interactions occur between teachers and students during the online learning process. In this study, researchers used the concepts of communication patterns, symbolic interactions and interpersonal communication. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a paradigm of constructivism with phenomenological methods. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers include conducting interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis techniques used by Miles and Huberman models are data reduction, data presentation and data withdrawal. The results of the study have formulated a model of communication patterns between teachers and students, namely the pattern of teacher-to-student communication, including one-way and two-way. The obstacles, namely signal interference, less conducive surrounding environmental conditions, lack of focus of students and teachers. As well as symbolic interactions between teachers and students during the online learning process. Keywords : Online learning, communication patterns, teachers and student Komunikasi merupakan hal terpenting dalam pendidikan antara guru dan siswa untuk mencapai tujuan yang sama. Dampak pandemic COVID-19 dan kebijakand dari Kemendikbud untuk menghentikan kegiatan belajar-mengajar guna menekan angka posif pada kasus COVID-19 tersebut secara tatap muka dialihkan menjadi secara dalam jaringan (daring) dengan media yang ada seperti Google Meeting, Discord. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis 1.)pola komunikasi dari kegiatan belajar mengajar SD “XYZ” Jakarta Barat. 2.) hambatan yang terjadi selama proses pembelajaran daring 3.) interaksi simbolik non-verbal terjadi antara guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran secara daring. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan konsep pola komunikasi, interaksi simbolik dan komunikasi antarpribadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan metode fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang peneliti dilakukan antara lain dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan model dari Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan data. Hasil penelitian telah merumuskan sebuah model pola komunikasi antara guru dan siswa, yaitu pola komunikasi guru kepada siswa antara lain satu arah dan dua arah. Hambatan-hambatannya, yaitu gangguan sinyal, kondisi lingkungan sekitar yang kurang kondusif, kurang fokusnya siswa dan guru. Serta interaksi simbolik antara guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran daring berlangsung. Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran daring, pola komunikasi, guru dan siswa
