Abstract

Six Sigma merupakan strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas, meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dan tetap memimpin pasar. Six Sigma merupakan salah satu cara untuk memperbaiki kinerja bisnis dan dapat membantu banyak organisasi dalam mencapai keunggulan bersaing. Fokus penelitian ini adalah perbaikan mutu proses pengerjaan powder coating. Peningkatan kualitas produk/jasa yang berorientasi pada kepuasan pelanggan dapat memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan volume penjualan, profitabilitas perusahaan, serta perluasan pasar. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini merupakan data pengukuran proses, yaitu data suhu/temperature, data waktu proses, data hasil produksi dan data hasil inspeksi lainnya. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan pendekatan DMAIC. Analisa dilakukan dengan cara analisa Pareto, FMEA, dan analisa Fishbone. Jenis-jenis defect yang terjadi pada hasil akhir proses powder coating adalah coating tipis, warna, jatuh di oven, kontaminasi, minyak, pulau, coating gumpal, bekas lem, kasar, tergores, pin hole, dan lain-lain. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penyebab defect hasil coating dipengaruhi oleh faktor kurangnya pemahaman sumber daya manusia terhadap mutu proses yang diharapkan pelanggan. Faktor kurangnya pemahaman dapat diminimalisasi dengan adanya peningkatan kualitas sumberdaya manusia. Peningkatan kualitas sumberdaya manusia dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan, pemberian penghargaan, pemberian hukuman. dan perlu adanya komitmen manajemen untuk berusaha terus menerus melakukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kepuasan pelanggan. Six Sigma is a strategy to improve quality, increase customer satisfaction and continue to lead the market. Six Sigma is one way to improve business performance and can help many organizations achieve competitive advantage. The focus of this research is the quality improvement process of powder coating. Improved quality of products / services oriented to customer satisfaction can have an impact on the increase in sales volume, company profitability, and market expansion. Data collected in this study is the data measurement process, namely data temperature / temperature, data processing time, production data and other inspection results data. Data processing was performed with DMAIC approach. Analysis conducted by Pareto analysis, FMEA, and Fishbone analysis. The types of defects that occur at the end of the process of powder coating is a thin coating, color, fall in the oven, contamination, oil, island, coating clot, a former glue, rough, scratches, pin holes, and others. The results of this study concluded that the cause of coating defects result was influenced by a lack of understanding of human resources of the expected quality of the customer. Lack of understanding of the factors can be minimized by an increase in the quality of human resources. Improving the quality of human resources can be done by providing training, awards, giving punishment. and the need for management commitment to seek continuous improvement to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
