Abstract
Song as a literature work can be used as a medium of communication. Like the song "Evaluasi" by Hindia, one of Baskara's creations based on the anxiety he experienced. The unrest occurred in their 20s, the period was included in the quarter life crisis. Individuals feel the emotional pressure of the demands of age as a transitional period of young adult transition into a stable and strong adult. However, during this transition period, individuals often cause stress to depression if they do not have enough abilities. So the researcher aims to find out the meaning of the quarter life crisis in the lyrics of the song "Evaluasi" by Hindia. This study uses the theory of Semiotics based on the thoughts of Ferdinand De Saussure, the theory of the Quarter Life Crisis, the theory of New Media, and several theories of meaning. The research was conducted using a qualitative constructivist analysis approach. Ferdinand De Saussure's Semiotics research method is a method that can clearly reveal a meaning in song lyrics as a form of literarure work in the form of language. By using Ferdinand De Saussure's structuralist semiotics and elaboration of meaning, the researcher was able to gain meaning about the quarter life crisis in the lyric of the song "Evaluasi" by the Hindia. The results of the study of 7 parts of the lyrics as primary data found that the lyrics of the song "Evaluasi" contain the meaning of a quarter century crisis as the 5 phases of a quarter century crisis according to Robinson. The meaning is found in the analysis of the meaning of 4 associative meanings, namely (1) connotative meaning, (2) affective meaning, (3) reflective meaning, (4) collocative meaning. Keywords : Evaluation, Quarter Century Crisis, Ferdinand De Saussure, Semiotics Lagu sebagai karya sastra dapat digunakan sebagai media komunikasi. Seperti lagu “Evaluasi” karya Hindia salah satu karya Baskara berdasarkan keresahan yang dialaminya. Keresahan terebut terjadi pada usia 20-an, periode tersebut termasuk kedalam fase krisis seperempat abad. Individu merasakan tekanan emosional atas tuntutan usia sebagai masa peralihan transisi dewasa muda menjadi dewasa yang stabil dan kukuh. Namun pada masa peralihan tersebut individu kerap menimbulkan stress hingga depresi apabla tidak memiliki cukup kemampuan. Sehingga peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemaknaan krisis seperempat abad pada lirik lagu “Evaluasi” karya Hindia. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Semiotika berdasarkan pemikiran Ferdinand De Saussure, teori Krisis Seperempat Abad, teori New Media, dan beberapa teori pemaknaan. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan analisis konstruktivis kualitatif. Metode penelitian Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure, merupakan sebuah metode yang dapat mengungkap secara jelas tentang sebuah makna pada lirik lagu sebagai betuk karya sastra dalam bentuk bahasa. Dengan menggunakan semiotika strukturalis Ferdinand De Saussure serta penjabaran makna peneliti mampu memperoleh pemaknaan mengenai krisis seperempat abad pada litik lagu “Evaluasi” karya Hindia. Hasil menelitian dari 7 bagian lirik sebagai data primer menemukan bahwa lirik lagu “Evaluasi” mengandung pemaknaan krisis seperempat abad sebagaimana 5 fase krisis seperempat abad menurut robinson. Pemaknaan tersebut ditemukan hasil analisis makna adanya 4 makna asosiatif yaitu (1) makna konotatif, (2) makna afektif, (3) makna reflektif, (4) makna kolokatif.
