Abstract

In activities outside the building, humans will rely on the instructions they get so they can carry out their activities smoothly and effectively. In an outside building in the Summarecon Mall Serpong Shopping Center often still has a shortage of being able to guide visitors into the Shopping Center to go to a place, especially the arrangement of the Outer Space. In arranging the outer space in the building requires architectural elements of the wayfinding to direct visitors into the building. Therefore the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of outdoor architectural elements as a supporting wayfinding of visitors to the spatial layout of Summarecon Mall Serpong shopping center. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with an observational method by visiting places that are used as research objects and taking pictures to be used as documentation. In addition the questionnaire was distributed by giving questions in accordance with the research topic and disseminating online using Google form to visitors. Based on the results of observational methods and questionnaires that the elements of outdoor architecture are very influential as a wayfinding support for the spatial layout of Summarecon Mall Serpong shopping center. This is because there are still many visitors or participants who use architectural elements to facilitate them into the shopping center. Keywords : Wayfinding, Shopping Center, Architecture Landscape Dalam beraktifitas diluar bangunan, manusia akan mengandalkan petunjuk yang ia peroleh supaya dapat melakukan kegiatannya dengan lancar dan efektif. Pada sebuah luar bangunan di Pusat Perbelanjaan Summarecon Mall Serpong sering kali masih mempunyai kekurangan untuk bisa memandu pengunjung kedalam Pusat Perbelanjaan untuk menuju suatu tempat, khususnya penataan Ruang Luar. Dalam menata ruang luar pada bangunan tersebut membutuhkan elemen arsitektur terhadap wayfinding untuk mengarahkan pengunjung menuju kedalam bangunan. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari elemen arsitektur ruang luar sebagai penunjang Wayfinding pengunjung pada tata ruang luar pusat perbelanjaan Summarecon Mall Serpong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode observasi dengan mengunjungi ke tempat yang dijadikan objek penelitian serta pengambilan gambar untuk dijadikan dokumentasi. Selain itu kuisioner disebar dengan memberikan pertanyaan sesuai dengan topik penelitian serta menyebarkan secara online menggunakan google form kepada pengunjung. Berdasarkan hasil metode observasi dan penyebaran kuisioner bahwa elemen arsitektur ruang luar sangat berpengaruh sebagai penunjang wayfinding pada tata ruang luar pusat perbelanjaan Summarecon Mall Serpong. Hal ini dikarenakan masih banyak pengunjung atau partisipan yang menggunakan elemen arsitektur untuk memudahkan mereka ke dalam pusat perbelanjaan tersebut.
