Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world consisting of various islands and various tribes. Various kinds of tribes and cultures that are located from Sabang to Merauke have produced many works of art with their own uniqueness and characteristics. Artwork which is one of Indonesia's cultural heritage is cloth or wastra. The problem that occurs is that along with the current of globalization, the fabric characteristic of Indonesian culture must remain a cultural heritage that must be preserved. In the era of modernization, the number of fabric craftsmen of the archipelago is getting smaller so that not many generations of the nation currently use it. This can be a threat to the cultural heritage of Indonesian cloth and can eliminate the local culture itself. The theme of Organic Architecture was taken as the initial rationale to combine the convenience of the users of this museum building with the natural approach in it so as to create a better image of the museum building.
