Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of competence, training and employee development in improving performance at PT Rekayasa Industri. Research data obtained through field research by interviewing research subjects through a questionnaire as a research measurement tool. The number of samples in this study were 135 employees. This research model consists of 4 variables, namely performance improvement, development, training, and competence. Before processing data, testing the research measuring instrument is applied first which includes the analysis of the validity and reliability of the evaluation of the hypothetical research model outer model and inner model. Outer model evaluation is a stage to evaluate the validity and reliability of a variable, while the inner model is a stage to evaluate the causal relationships between variables. This research proves that improving the performance of employees of PT. REKIND is determined directly by the employee's competence and the training the employee has received. Human Resource Training and Development is a planned effort programmed by a company or organization that aims to achieve mastery of the skills, knowledge and behavior of employees or members of the organization. However, development has no direct effect on improving performance. Keywords : Competence, Training, Employee Development, Performance Improvement ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi, pelatihan dan pengembangan karyawan dalam meningkatkan kinerja di PT Rekayasa Industri. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui penelitian lapangan dengan mewawancarai subjek penelitian melalui kuesioner sebagai alat ukur penelitian. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 135 karyawan. Model penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 variabel, yaitu peningkatan kinerja, pengembangan, pelatihan, dan kompetensi. Sebelum pengolahan data, pengujian alat ukur penelitian diterapkan terlebih dahulu yang meliputi analisis validitas dan reliabilitas pada evaluasi model hipotesis penelitian outer model dan inner model. Evaluasi outer model merupakan tahapan untuk mengevaluasi validitas dan reliabilitas suatu variabel, sedangkan inner model merupakan tahapan untuk mengevaluasi hubungan kausal antar variabel. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa peningkatan kinerja karyawan PT. REKIND ditentukan secara langsung oleh kompetensi karyawan dan pelatihan yang telah diperoleh karyawan. Pelatihan dan pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia merupakan usaha yang terencana yang diprogramkan oleh perusahaan ataupun organisasi yang bertujuan untuk mencapai penguasaan skill, pengetahuan, dan prilaku karyawan atau anggota organisasi. Namun, pengembangan tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap peningkatan kinerja. Kata kunci : Kompetensi, Pelatihan, Pengembangan karyawan, Peningkatan Kinerja
