Abstract

The background of this research is the performance of salesmen who get a turnover below 50% and not in accordance with the specified target. This study aims to analyze the effect of communication, emotional intelligence and employee competence on the performance of employees of PT M.I.A. The method used is kuantitatif research with the population in this study are 153 customers from PT M.I.A and the sample used are 124 respondents with random sampling method, with the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis method using Partial Least Square. This study proves that communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and employee competence has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance. To improve communication, emotional intelligence and employee competence, this can be done by providing appropriate allowances, forming a collaborative team and holding training and seminars for salesmen. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kinerja salesman yang mendapatkan omset di bawah 50% dan tidak sesuai dengan target yang ditentukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi, kecerdasan emosional dan kompetensi karyawan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT M.I.A. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 153 customer dari PT M.I.A dan sampel yang digunakan adalah 124 responden metode sampling random, dengan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner. Metode analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa komunikasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan kompetensi karyawan berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Untuk meningkatkan komunikasi, kecerdasan emosional dan kompetensi karyawan dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan tunjangan yang sesuai, membentuk tim yang kolaboratif dan mengadakan pelatihan dan seminar-seminar kepada salesman.
