Abstract
Salah satu kendala yang di hadapi oleh industri manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang industri stamping press adalah tingginya waktu downtime. Seperti salah satu perusahaan yang berlokasi di cikarang di antaranya di akibatkan oleh aktifitas change over. sehingga pelaku industri perlu melakukan perbaikan, yaitu salah satunya dengan cara memperbaiki aktifitas change over dengan pendekatan lean manufacture yaitu menggunakan metode single minute exchange of dies (SMED). Metode SMED di pakai untuk mengidentifikasi aktifitas change over dan mengubah aktifitas internal menjadi aktifitas external untuk menurunkan downtime mesin. Sebelum di lakukan penerapan metode SMED kegiatan change over pada mesin membutuhkan waktu selama 3384 detik atau 56 menit dengan 26 langkah yang di lakukan. Dari 26 aktifitas tersebut terdapat 6 aktifitas yang memiliki waktu aktifitas tertinggi antara lain aktifitas pasang dan setting material, Setting panel dan timeing transfer, Ganti dan pasang trasnsfer finger, Melepas transfer finger, Pasang dan setting material dan aktifitas Setting sudut. Setelah di lakukan pengolahan data dengan menerapkan metode SMED dengan memisah beberapa aktifitas untuk menghilangkan satu aktifitas dan mengubah tiga aktifitas. Aktifitas tersebut dilakukan perubahan dari aktifitas internal menjadi aktifitas eksternal dengan menjadikan leader sebagai asisten operator dalam melakukan kegiatan change over. Setelah dilakukan penerapan dan perubahan ativitas maka di peroleh waktu set up yang di butuhkan menjadi selama 2241 detik atau 34 menit dengan 27 langkah yang di lakukan. Like on of the companies located in Cikarang is the high downtime, which is caused by change over activities. so that industry players need to make improvements, one of which is by improving change over activities approach with a lean manufacture, namely using the single minute exchange of dies (SMED) method. The SMED method is used to identify change over activities and convert internal activities into external activities to reduce machine downtime. Before implementing the SMED method, the change over activity on the machine takes 3384 seconds or 56 minutes with 26 steps taken of the 26 activities there are 6 activities that have the highest activity time, including installation activities and material settings, panel and transfer timeing settings, change and attach finger transfer, remove finger transfer, install and set material and activity Angle setting. After processing the data by applying the SMED method, several activities are separated to eliminate one activity and change three activities. These activities are transformed from internal activities to external activities by making the leader as an operator's assistant in carrying out change over activities. After applying and changing activities, the required set-up time is 2241 seconds or 34 minutes with 27 steps taken. Key words: SMED, set-up time, external activities and internal activities
