Abstract

One of the new media that contributes in building the company's image is a website. As a sea transportation service company, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk uses the company's website to inform the public about the company's activities, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic, the company must adapt to inform online activities through the website and also build a positive company image. This study was conducted to determine whether the company's website, has quality and has a positive influence on the company's image. The theory used in this study is the Stimulus Organism Response (S-O-R) theory to explain the effect of the stimulus conveyed through the message in creating a positive perception of the company's image. The indicators used by researcher in measuring website quality are web usability quality, web information quality and web design quality. The type of research used is explanatory with a quantitative approach. Survey research method to suppliers of PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk. The study was conducted for the period November 2020 to February 2022 (still in Covid-19 pandemic), collecting data by distributing questionnaires via google form to 75 respondents. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the influence of website quality on company image was 25.1% while the rest was influenced by other variables outside of this study. The value of the regression coefficient on the website quality variable is 0.232 and is positive. The findings show that the website quality of PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk has a positive influence on corporate image. Keywords: New Media, Website Quality, Company Image Salah satu New media yang berkontribusi membangun citra perusahaan adalah website. Sebagai perusahaan jasa angkutan laut, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk menggunakan website perusahaan dalam menginformasikan kegiatan perusahaan kepada publiknya terlebih di masa pandemi Covid-19, perusahaan harus beradaptasi untuk menginformasikan kegiatan secara online melalui website, juga membangun citra positif perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah website perusahaan, memiliki kualitas dan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap citra perusahaan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini teori Stimulus Organisme Response (S-O-R) untuk menjelaskan efek dari stimulus yang disampaikan melalui pesan yang disampaikan menciptakan persepsi positif terhadap citra perusahaan. Indikator yang digunakan peneliti dalam mengukur kualitas website yaitu usability quality web (kualitas kegunaan web), web information quality (kualitas informasi web) dan site design quality (kualitas desain web). Tipe Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian survey kepada supplier PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk. Penelitian dilakukan periode November 2020 s/d Februari 2022 (masih pandemic Covid-19), pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui google form kepada 75 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pengaruh kualitas website terhadap citra perusahaan sebesar 25,1% sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi variabel lain diluar penelitian ini. Nilai koefisien regresi pada variabel kualitas website sebesar 0.232 dan positif. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa kualitas website PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap Citra Perusahaan. Kata kunci : New Media, Kualitas Website, Citra Perusahaan
