Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Role ambiguity and organizational climate with Cyberloafing of PT. XYZ in Medan. The respondents of this study were 117 respondends. This research instrument uses an adaptation measuring instrument with a total of 14 items for Role ambiguity (Rizzo & Litzman 1997) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.874 and 37 items for Organizational Climate (Stinger, 2002) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.930 and 11 items for cyberloafing (Lim 2002) with cronbach's Alpha 0.904. The analysis in this study uses the mean value, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation techniques. The results of this study indicate a significant positive relationship between organizational ambiguity and climate with cyberloafing (r = 0.708; p = 0,000) when role ambiguity and organizational climate is the higher means cyberloafing is higher. Keywords: Cyberloafing, Role ambiguity, Organizational climate Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungann Role ambiguity dan Iklim organisasi dengan Cyberloafing Karyawan PT. XYZ kota Medan. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 117 Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur adaptasi dengan total 14 aitem untuk Role ambiguity ( Rizzo & Litzman 1997) dengan cronbach’s Alpha 0.874 dan 37 aitem untuk Iklim Organisasi ( Stinger,2002) dengan cronbach’s Alpha 0.930 dan 11 aitem untuk cyberloafing (Lim 2002) dengan cronbach’s Alpha 0.904. Analisa pada penelitian ini menggunakan nilai rata-rata (mean), standar deviasi, dan teknik korelasi pearson. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungann positif yang significant antara Role ambiguity dan Iklim organisasi dengan cyberloafing (r = 0,708; p = 0,000) dimana semakin tinggi role ambiguity dan iklim organisasi maka semakin tinggi aktivitas cyberloafing pada individu.
