Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of training and competence on job satisfaction and its impact on employee commitment. The population of this study are employees who work at BPJS Employment who are participants in the 2019 technical training program, with a total population of 943 and total sample of 283 BPJS employees. The data analysis method used Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). This study proves that training is found to have a positive and significant effect on employee commitment. Competency was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee commitment. Training was found to have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Competency was found to have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee commitment. Job satisfaction acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between training and employee commitment. Job satisfaction acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between competency and employee commitment. Keywords: Training, Competence, Job satisfaction, Employee commitment Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh training dan kompetensi terhadap job satisfaction dan dampaknya terhadap employee commitment. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah karyawan yang berkerja di BPJS Ketenagakerjaan yang menjadi peserta program diklat teknis tahun 2019, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 943 dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 2280 karyawan BPJS. Metode analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa Training ditemukan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee commitment. Competency ditemukan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee commitment. Training ditemukan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap job satisfaction. Competency ditemukan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap job satisfaction. Job satisfaction ditemukan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee commitment. Job satisfaction berperan sebagai variabel mediasi pada hubungan training terhadap employee commitment.
