Abstract

ABSTRAK Sebuah perusahaaan yang bergerak dibidang manufacturing pembuatan gitar dan piano. Dalam pengendalian kualitas perusahaan tersebut, masih terdapat produk cacat yang melebihi batas toleransi sebesar 1%. Sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di industri gitar, perusahaan harus dapat meminimalkan kegagalan agar dapat mencapai target kualitas yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan, serta dapat bersaing dengan industry gitar lainnya. Pengendalian dapat dilakukan dengan metode six sigma. Dengan metode six sigma tersebut, dapat diketahui jenis kegagalan yang timbul, kondisi perusahaan, tingkat kemampuan proses, penyebab kegagalan, tindakan perbaikan yang harus dilakukan, serta perancangan pengawasan mutu yang dapat dilakukan. Skripsi ini membahas bagaimana pengendalian kualitas dengan metode six sigma, yaitu dengan analisis DMAIC. Six Sigma merupakan alat penting bagi manajemen produksi untuk menjaga, memperbaiki, mempertahankan kualitas produk dan terutama untuk mencapai peningkatan kualitas menuju zero defect.. Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data, masih terdapat produk gagal yang melebihi batas toleransi yang ditetapkan perusahaan dengan DPMO 163338.919 per sejuta kesempatan dengan level sigma 2.5 serta belum mencapai nilai kapabilitas yaitu pada jenis cacat gelombang adalah cp = 0.25 dan cpk = -0.153, jenis cacat lecet sebesar cp = 0.73 dan cpk = 0.22, jenis cacat kurang amplasdengan cp = 0.53 dan cpk = 0.37 dan reject melamin pecah sebesar cp = 1.12 dan cpk 1.75. Kata kunci: Kualitas, pengendalian kualitas, six sigma, DMAIC. ABSTRACT A company engaged in manufacturing guitar and piano manufacturing. In controlling the company's quality, there are still defective products that exceed the tolerance limit of 1%. As a company engaged in the guitar industry, companies must be able to minimize failures in order to achieve the quality targets set by the company, and be able to compete with other guitar industries. Control can be done by the six sigma method. With the six sigma method, it can be known the type of failure that arises, the condition of the company, the level of process capability, the cause of failure, the corrective action that must be taken, and the design of quality control that can be carried out. This thesis discusses how to control quality with the six sigma method, namely the DMAIC analysis. Six Sigma is an important tool for production management to maintain, improve, maintain product quality and especially to achieve quality improvement towards zero defects. After processing data, there are still products that fail to exceed the tolerance limits set by the company with DPMO 163338,919 per million opportunities with sigma level 2.5 and not yet reached the capability value that is the type of wave defect is cp = 0.25 and cpk = -0.153, the type of blister defect of cp = 0.73 and cpk = 0.22, the type of defect less sandpaper with cp = 0.53 and cpk = 0.37 and reject melamine breaks of cp = 1.12 and cpk 1.75.
